Carrasco gave up four runs on 10 hits while striking out seven in 6.2 innings Tuesday against the Cardinals. His strategy of pounding the strike zone that offered excellent results last season seems to have caught up to him a little to start 2015. Of his 104 pitches Tuesday 73 of them were strikes, and the fact that the Cardinals had 10 hits suggests that they were up there hacking. Strikeouts have not been an issue for Carrasco and his FIP and xFIP both suggest he has been better than his 4.84 ERA indicates. Still, he may need to make an adjustment or two to combat the fact that opposing hitters seem to be displaying more aggression in at-bats against him than they did in 2014.

Carrasco allowed three runs on five hits, walking two and striking out six over seven innings of a 10-3 win against Kansas City on Wednesday. Carrasco clearly got great run support in this game which help him earn win number four on the season. He didn't pitch outstanding, but he did enough to earn the victory. Carrasco owns a 4.71 ERA and a 35/8 K/BB ratio over 28.2 innings on the season.

Carrasco allowed four runs on six hits, walking three and striking out six over six innings of a 9-4 win against Toronto Friday night. It wasn't a particularly strong start for Carassco (3-2, 4.98 ERA) who allowed four extra base hits, a pair of singles, and three walks while needing 101 pitches (63 for strikes) to cover six innings. He left his April 22nd start with undefined "tightness" which suggest he might be nursing a minor injury.

Carrasco, who left his last start with an ambiguous "tightness" concern, is still in line to start Sunday's game against the Tigers. Sunday's road start is a tough matchup for Carrasco, though this hasn't been the best week for the Tigers' lineup.

Carrasco left Tuesday's outing with tightness according to manager Terry Francona, Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. It doesn't appear to be too serious of an issue as Francona also acknowledged that he may have overreacted, but it's still a situation worth monitoring if Carrasco experiences any further setbacks. Otherwise, he's still slated to make his next start Sunday against the Tigers.

Carrasco struck out eight batters in five innings Tuesday, earning a win over the White Sox. Carrasco was moved back in the rotation with a jaw injury, so it's unclear if the injury had anything to do with him leaving this game slightly early. In three starts this season, he's struck out a combined 18 batters - even though he left his start on April 14 in the first inning after taking a liner to his head, which caused the jaw injury.

Carrasco (jaw) will switch spots with Trevor Bauer in the rotation and instead start Tuesday agains the White Sox, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports. Carrasco's start had already been pushed back a day, but this time around it will likely cost him a two-start week. He continues to make steady progress after being hit in the head with a comebacker Tuesday, but it makes sense to see the Indians take a conservative approach considering the nature of the injury. Trevor Bauer will take his spot in Monday's series opener.

Carrasco (jaw) completed a 35-pitch bullpen session Friday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports. Pitching coach Mickey Callaway was pleased with how the session went, saying Carrasco looked and felt fine just days after being hit the jaw by a comebacker. Carrasco is still dealing with some soreness, but it's mostly when he's eating. He appears good to go for his next start, Monday opposite John Danks at U.S. Cellular Field.

The Indians announced Wednesday that Carrasco is dealing with soreness on both sides of his jaw and will have his next start pushed back one day. While Carrasco is dealing with some pain in his mouth, he appears to have escaped what could have been a far more serious injury. Barring any setbacks before his next outing, Carrasco's next start will come Monday against the White Sox in Chicago.

Carrasco is being treated for a jaw contusion and does not have concussion symptoms, the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Zack Meisel reports. This is a good early report on the electric right-hander, who was carted off Tuesday after a comebacker hit his jaw and knocked him down. It seemed like the ball glanced his wrist before hitting his face, which may have helped lessen the blow. The fact that Carrasco appears to have avoided a concussion should lend optimism to the notion that he may not have to miss a start and he should at least be able to avoid the DL if the initial diagnosis is accurate.
