In spite of Saturday's setback, Carrasco has enjoyed a banner year, posting career-highs in wins, strikeouts, starts and innings pitched, and his current 10.3 K/9 rate ranks him among the best in baseball in that category.

The win was Carrasco's sixth quality start in his last seven outings, a span including at least five strikeouts each game. Carrasco has performed admirably as Cleveland's de facto ace, helping the Indians stay afloat in their pursuit of a wild-card spot until Corey Kluber returns from the disabled list.

Carrasco will not start Sunday as scheduled due to the postponement of Saturday's game against the Tigers, according to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian.
