Carrasco gave up four runs on seven hits, including three home runs, over five innings against the Red Sox in a no-decision Wednesday. He struck out five batters and issued one walk.
EDGE Analysis
Brock Holt touched Carrasco up for a homer in the second inning, and David Ortiz and Hanley Ramirez went back-to-back in the sixth. Expectations were sky high for Carrasco coming into the year after an outstanding 2015 campaign, and those expectations remain unchanged despite the lackluster debut. He'll face the Rays at the Trop early next week.

Carrasco struck out five while allowing two runs on seven hits over four innings in his outing against the Rangers on Tuesday afternoon.
EDGE Analysis
After piling up five scoreless innings in his first two spring appearances, Carrasco ran into some trouble Tuesday -- including a solo homer allowed to Prince Fielder. With the five strikeouts against the Rangers, he's now carrying a 10:0 K:BB through nine innings in Cactus League play. Carrasco has been sharp overall this spring, and he remains on track to begin the season as the Tribe's No. 2 starter.

Carrasco (14-12) was bombed for five runs on five hits and two walks in just three innings against the Twins en route to a loss in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader.
EDGE Analysis
That's an ugly end to what was mostly a successful season for Carrasco; although he didn't come close to replicating last year's 2.55 ERA -- 3.63 is this season's final mark -- he put up 216 strikeouts and only 43 walks in 183.2 innings spanning 30 starts. As he's traditionally a much better second-half than first-half pitcher, fantasy owners may be best served letting someone else draft Carrasco next year, then picking him up on the cheap sometime in June or July.

Carrasco will start Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Twins, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tuesday's game was postponed due to rain, and rather than just move Cody Anderson to start Game 1 of Wednesday's twin bill, the Indians have decided to flip its starters and start Carrasco in the matinee. Carrasco has posted a 4.24 ERA in eight daytime starts this season, compared to a 3.12 mark at night.

Carrasco (14-11) tossed a complete-game shutout on Friday, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out 15 in a win over Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning and went the distance for the third time in his past nine starts. Carrasco has been striking batters out all season, ranking ninth in the league. Over the past few months, however, he has become similarly dominant in other categories. In his 11 starts since the All-Star break, Carrasco has a 2.49 ERA with a minuscule 0.84 WHIP. He can be counted on to shine during fantasy playoffs.

Carrasco (13-11) took the loss in Saturday's 5-2 defeat by the White Sox despite striking out nine in five-plus innings. He surrendered four hits, three runs (two earned) and two walks.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old hard-throwing right-hander couldn't get by with just his wicked stuff on Saturday, although the performance did mark his second consecutive nine-strikeout outing. Carrasco had come into Saturday in good form, having posted quality starts in six of his previous seven trips to the mound, including back-to-back complete games during that stretch. In spite of Saturday's setback, Carrasco has enjoyed a banner year, posting career-highs in wins, strikeouts, starts and innings pitched, and his current 10.3 K/9 rate ranks him among the best in baseball in that category.

Carrasco (13-10) gave up one earned run over six innings Monday, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out nine in an 8-3 win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
The win was Carrasco's sixth quality start in his last seven outings, a span including at least five strikeouts each game. Carrasco has performed admirably as Cleveland's de facto ace, helping the Indians stay afloat in their pursuit of a wild-card spot until Corey Kluber returns from the disabled list.

Carrasco will not start Sunday as scheduled due to the postponement of Saturday's game against the Tigers, according to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian.
EDGE Analysis
Saturday's scheduled starter, Cody Anderson, will take Carrasco's spot in the rotation for one end of a doubleheader Sunday. Carrasco will be pushed back a day to Monday and face the Royals instead of the Tigers.

Carrasco's return to the mound did not go as planned Tuesday, as he allowed four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out five in 2.2 innings against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
He had just been activated from the DL after missing time with shoulder inflammation, but after the game manager Terry Francona said he was not worried about Carrasco's health going forward. His next start will come Sunday at home against the Tigers.

Carrasco (shoulder) was officially activated from the 15-day DL on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Carrasco was activated ahead of Tuesday's start against Carlos Rodon and the White Sox after missing just over the minimum 15 days required by his DL stint. Carrasco has turned in a 3.53 ERA so far this season, but his 2.78 FIP ranks eighth in baseball among qualifiers.
