General manager Matthew Silverman said Saturday that he anticipates Colome (visa issues) will join the Rays' spring training "hopefully next week," Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. While he's been waiting to secure the necessary paperwork, Colome has begun throwing at the Rays' facility in his native Dominican Republic. Assuming he's able to arrive in the United States by next week, Colome shouldn't find himself too far behind the rest of the Rays' collection of starters that are battling for the No. 5 rotation spot.
