Alex Colome pitched well in a spot start Friday, holding the Orioles to one run over 5 2/3 frames in a 5-2 victory. Colome was wild (although home plate umpire Tony Randazzo's zone was tiny), walking four, but he struck out three and surrendered just two hits, out-dueling Kevin Gausman. The young right-hander was serving as the 26th man during a doubleheader and will be sent back down, but he made a nice impression.
