Colome did not record a decision Monday against the Yankees as he allowed six hits and one walk to go along with four strikeouts in 6.2 scoreless innings. The Rays think highly of Colome and called him up to join their rotation down the stretch. Although he didn't see much action in the major leagues this season, he could work his way into the starting rotation discussion next season with a strong finish to 2014.
