Steve Mason allowed two goals on 24 shots in Columbus' 3-0 loss to the Nashville Predators Thursday night.
Mason, now a backup to Curtis Sanford is irrelevant in the fantasy world. If you still have him on your roster, it means you stopped managing your fantasy team back in November.

Steve Mason will be in Columbus' crease Thursday when the Jackets host Nashville.
He hasn't played since being lifted after one period in a 7-4 loss at Anaheim on Jan. 8. Mason surrendered four goals on 16 shots in the contest. He has a 5-16-2 record with an .882 and a 3.46 GAA this campaign, so nobody should be relying on him in fantasy hockey at this point.

Steve Mason was only able to make it through one period against the Anaheim Ducks as Scott Arniel gave him the hook thanks to four goals. Curtis Sanford took his spot.
Mason allowed four goals on 16 shots in yet another abysmal performance, although obviously his teammates weren't playing stellar defense considering the volume of shots. The Ducks and Blue Jackets have used both of their netminders tonight. The only difference is that Jonas Hiller left the game because of an injury, not poor play.

Steve Mason is scheduled to get the start against Anaheim on Sunday.
The Blue Jackets play twice this weekend so Curtis Sanford will get the start Saturday while Mason will on Sunday. Mason has struggled mightily once again as he is 45th among goalies in both GAA and save percentage with a 3.33 and .885 respectively. He is also 5-16-2 and that cannot help your fantasy squad.

Steve Mason saved 22 of 26 shots in a 4-2 defeat Saturday.
Mason was perfect through 40 minutes, but he collapsed in the third period. He has yet to win more than two games in a single month this season.

Steve Mason recorded a win for the first time since Dec. 13 as the Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Dallas Stars 4-1 on Thursday night.
It was only the young goalie's fifth win of the season as he also has 15 losses and two overtime losses. While his 3.29 goals-against average and .887 save percentage are not good, he has been excellent in his last two outings as he's allowed only two goals. Columbus ended their six-game funk with the win.

Steve Mason will likely get the call again in Dallas on Thursday night.
Coach Scott Arniel said that Curtis Sanford is probably not 100 percent yet, even though he is healthy enough to play, and Mason played well in Columbus' 2-1 shootout loss to Calgary Tuesday.

Steve Mason allowed just one goal on 26 shots in a 2-1 shootout loss to the Flames Tuesday night.
Mason continues to struggle to earn victories, but this defeat certainly wasn't his fault as he held up his end of the bargain despite not receiving any offensive support.

Steve Mason may get the nod for Columbus on Tuesday against Calgary.
Coach Scott Arniel was asked if Curtis Sanford would get the start and he said, "probably not. Don't know yet." That indicates that he is leaning towards giving Mason the call. Mason has lost his last three outings, but Sanford is still hurting from a back injury.

Columbus Blue Jackets' goalie Steve Mason is 0-8-0 on the road this season.
His goals-against average is 4.80. On Monday night, in a road loss in Chicago, Mason allowed four goals on only 22 shots. Columbus Dispatcher reporter said Mason was not the best player on the ice but he was not helped by his compatriots, either. He said the Blue Jackets play in their own zone against the Blackhawks was something akin to a third-grade candy scramble.
