Steve Mason was only able to make it through one period against the Anaheim Ducks as Scott Arniel gave him the hook thanks to four goals. Curtis Sanford took his spot. Mason allowed four goals on 16 shots in yet another abysmal performance, although obviously his teammates weren't playing stellar defense considering the volume of shots. The Ducks and Blue Jackets have used both of their netminders tonight. The only difference is that Jonas Hiller left the game because of an injury, not poor play.
