Mason will start in goal Thursday night versus the visiting Canucks, Dave Isaac of the Courier-Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason closed out his 2014-15 campaign with a 2.25 GAA and .928 save percentage, but he's far off that pace in negative fashion this season. In fact, this is the worst he's performed in a Flyers sweater since he joined Philly in 2012-13, via a trade with the Blue Jackets. Arguably his biggest hurdle has been the search for consistency, but Mason dealt with a personal issue earlier in the season and also had missed time with an illness. Consequently, that has given Michal Neuvirth (2.06 GAA; .937 save percentage) 14 starts and plenty of time to shine.

Mason gave up three goals on 10 shots and was yanked early in the second period Tuesday against the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Fortunately for Mason, he avoided landing in the loss column -- backup Michal Neuvirth came in and stopped 16 of 16 while the Flyers rallied to tie the game, but he gave up the only tally of the shootout. Although he's had his moments, Mason has struggled mightily to maintain the consistently high level of play he managed last year; these performances have been more reminiscent of his post-rookie years in Columbus than what's been a strong run with the Flyers.

Mason will try to stop pucks from the visiting Islanders as Tuesday night's starter, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Over his last five appearances, Mason has sandwiched performances of four goals allowed between a shutout and two more showings in which he allowed two goals apiece. Predicting how Mason will fare in a given game is like guessing the daily temperature in Midwest, USA, without stepping outside, but it's worth noting that the Flyers are playing better as of late with a 5-3-2 record of their past 10 contests.

Mason made 30 saves in the Flyers' 4-1 loss to the Blue Jackets on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
He'd won his previous two starts, one by shutout, but Saturday proved too much for this former Blue Jacket. Mason has been unable to recapture the magic of his rookie season, although there have been glimpses of promise at points along the way. Unfortunately, those glimpses won't be enough with Michal Neuvirth breathing down his neck. Mason's numbers pale in comparison to Neuvirth, so beware the southpaw for now.

Mason will get the starting nod Saturday versus the Blue Jackets, Dave Isaac of Courier-Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason was the backstop for the Jackets from 2008-13, and he's faced his former club five times since then, recording a 3.04 GAA and .893 save percentage. If you are thinking about rolling with Mason on Saturday, you'll undoubtedly hope for better results this time around.

Mason stopped 23 of 25 shots Tuesday in a 4-2 win over the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
After a goal late in the second period gave the Flyers a 3-2 lead, Mason was able to shut the door in the third despite seeing the desperate Sens fire 12 shots on net. Mason's now delivered save marks of .920 or better in five of his last six starts, though he's just 2-2-2 in that span. On the bright side, the Flyers' offense has woken up a bit over the last couple games, scoring seven goals.

Mason will be between the pipes in Tuesday's game against the Senators, Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has played well of late, posting a 1-1-0 record with a 1.01 GAA and .966 save percentage in his last two outings. He draws into a tough matchup Tuesday against a Senators squad that has been great offensively this season, averaging 3.17 goals scored per game, fifth best in the NHL.

Mason made 24 saves in a 3-0 loss to the Rangers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
It was Mason's first shutout of the season. Unfortunately, it's just his second win since Oct. 27. However, to be fair, Mason did miss a bit of time in there to injury. Still, he's scuffling and it's taken until now to get his GAA under 3.00. He's a risky activation.

Mason will try to protect the net as the starter Saturday afternoon against the Rangers, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has made seven starts in November, emerging victorious from just one of those games. His 2.67 GAA and .911 save percentage this month is decent, but he's getting very little in the way of goal support. In fact, the Flyers have only put 25 goals on the board in Mason's 14 appearances this campaign.

Mason allowed just two goals on 35 shots Wednesday against the Islanders, but still picked up the loss, dropping his record to 3-7-4.
EDGE Analysis
Mason continues to suffer from a lack of offensive support, as the Flyers have scored just 15 goals in their last 10 games. Philadelphia only mustered 18 shots on goal in this one, and Mason's win/loss record will continue to plummet as long as the team in front of him struggles to generate chances.
