Mason will start in goal Wednesday against the Islanders, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following two superb outings that both resulted in overtime losses, Mason laid a bit of an egg against the Senators on Saturday, allowing four goals 31 shots. When paired with the lack of offensive support from a Flyers club scoring the least goals per game this season, things haven't gone very well for the veteran netminder. He'll face another tough test Wednesday against an Islanders club notching 2.81 goals per game this season.

Mason made 27 saves Saturday, but got no offensive support in a 4-0 loss to the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Sigh. Mason is 1-4-3 in his last eight starts, a span in which his teammates gave him 12 goals of support. There aren't many goalies out there who can withstand that kind of lack of support. Mason deserves better. So do his fantasy owners.

Mason set aside 20 of 21 shots in Thursday's 1-0 overtime loss to the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
The strong performance lowered his season-long GAA to 2.99, but Mason lacked offensive support which has been a trend for Philly this season as it's averaging a measly 1.79 goals per game in 2015-16.

Mason will start in goal against the Sharks on Thursday night, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Flyers netminder Michal Neuvirth (upper body) is healthy enough to play Thursday, but evidently he'll defer to Mason for this home start. Mason owns a 3-5-3 record as the skaters in front of him have only strung together 35 goals in 18 games, putting them at a tie with the Hurricanes for the fewest team goals in the NHL.

Mason turned away 38 of 40 shots Tuesday against the Kings, but was stuck with a shootout loss.
EDGE Analysis
That marks Mason's fifth loss in his last six outings, but he can hardly be blamed for this one, as he played terrifically well against a hot Kings team. Unfortunately, Jonathan Quick was just as good on the other end through 65 minutes and shut down all three Flyers in the shootout. This still qualifies as a positive sign for Mason -- maybe that maintenance day Monday did him some good.

Mason (undisclosed) will start in goal Tuesday against the Kings, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason was given a maintenance day Monday, but it led to multiple beat writers speculating that Mason was actually dealing with some type of injury. Given that the goalie has already been declared the starter Tuesday night, this does not appear to an issue that merits much concern. Perhaps most worrisome for the folks owning Mason in fantasy leagues is his 3.37 GAA and .895 save percentage which ranks 43rd and 38th, respectively.

Despite a previous report indicating that Mason missed practice with an injury, it has been deemed a maintenance day for him by both coach Dave Hakstol and general manager Ron Hextall, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
While the Flyers heads seem to be playing Mason's absence off as a maintenance day, multiple beat writers have speculated that there may be an underlying injury. Hakstol's unwillingness to name Mason the starter for Tuesday's game against the Kings could further suggest that's the case. While it's something to look out for, there's nothing beyond speculation at this point indicating that there is an issue.

Mason missed practice Monday with an undisclosed injury, NJ.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason reportedly mentioned that he was dealing with a minor issue, so there may not be too much concern needed over the issue. The Flyers haven't recalled another goaltender at this point, so it looks as though there's still a decent chance that he'll be available for Tuesday's contest against the Kings.

Mason made 19 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
It was his first win in five starts and just this third all season (3-5-2). Mason's rates do not inspire confidence, so he's a tenuous play at best right now.

Mason will be in net as the starter against the Hurricanes on Saturday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason will try to avenge his loss from this past Thursday, when the Capitals lit him up with five goals on 32 shots. He has made his way into nine games this season, despite a 3.55 GAA that is about a goal and a half worse than what fellow netminder Michal Neuvirth has maintained for Philly in just as many appearances.
