Mason made 37 saves through regulation and came out on top of a 3-2 win over the Rangers on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
His current numbers belie his true performance, in large part because of that horrific outing in Florida on October 10 when he allowed four goals in seven minutes. Mason now sits at 2-2-1 and the Flyers are starting to surge. That's a good combination for this southpaw tender.

Mason will get the start at goalie for Saturday's game against the Rangers, Dave Isaac of the Courier-Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has missed three starts in the Flyers' last four games, sitting out two games with a personal matter and appearing in relief Wednesday for Michael Neuvirth (upper body). Neuvirth is currently day-to-day, so Mason figures to take back his usual starter workload.

Mason came off the bench to earn a win Wednesday, allowing two goals on 18 shots in a 5-4 OT victory over the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
Mason entered the game at the start of the second period for the injured Michal Neuvirth (undisclosed). Ironically, it was his first win of the season as he had previously taken losses at the hands of the Stars, Panthers and Lightning, a span in which he allowed nine goals. Neuvirth had played well of late to the point where he earned the start against Boston, but Mase is the No. 1 backstopper in Philly and will get extra rope from head coach Dave Hakstol as long as Neuvirth remains sidelined.

Mason turned aside 30 of 32 shots in Tuesday's loss to the visiting Stars.
EDGE Analysis
The Tyler Seguin-Jamie Benn duo got to Mason late in the first period and early in the second, but he can't feel too bad about giving up goals to the Stars' biggest, um, stars. Due to a personal matter, this was Mason's first start in 10 days, and he's still looking for his first win of the year; meanwhile, the Flyers have won both of Michal Neuvirth's starts to open the year.

Mason (personal) will be between the pipes in Tuesday's matchup with the Stars, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason (personal) hasn't played since Oct. 10 against the Panthers, a game in which he surrendered a horrendous four goals on just eight shots in the first 6:46 of the game. It isn't clear if the family matter that ultimately kept Mason away from the Flyers for an extended period of time factored into the goaltender's poor performance, but either way, he'll look to bounce back Tuesday in a tough matchup with a Stars squad that leads the league with an average of 3.80 goals scored per game.

Mason (personal) is expected to get the starting nod in net Tuesday against the Stars, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason left the team last Monday to deal with a personal matter, but has since returned to practice and figures to be tabbed as the starter. Michal Neuvirth filled in admirably in his absence, posting back-to-back shutouts, but Mason is still the lead goalie going forward.

Mason (personal) returned to practice Friday and could play Tuesday against the Stars, CSN Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason remains in the team's netminder, but Michal Neuvirth may certainly have made head coach Dave Hakstol's decision a bit more difficult considering Neuvirth is coming off of back-to-back shutouts. Mason himself struggled in the first two contests, allowing seven goals combined, but he may have been preoccupied at the time.

Mason (personal) is without a timetable for his return, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has been away from the ice since Oct. 8, when he yielded four goals on eight shots to the Panthers in just 6:46 TOI. Meanwhile, Michal Neuvirth has worked back-to-back shutouts for the Flyers, making it clear that Neuvy is the better fantasy play at this juncture.

Mason (personal) will participate in Wednesday's morning skate, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports, adding that there has been no word on Mason's availability for that night's contest against the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
Mason missed Monday's home opener in order to attend to a family matter, and a related report stated that goalie Michal Neuvirth, who worked a shutout against the Panthers on Monday, is preparing to play Wednesday.

Mason won't start Monday's home opener against the Lightning due to a personal family matter, Sarah Baicker of The Comcast Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
There's no explanation for Mason's absence beyond a family matter, but it will result in the Michal Neuvirth receiving the start in net for the contest. It seems unlikely that the issue will keep him out for an extended period of time, with his next chance to return coming Wednesday against the Blackhawks.
