James Reimer admitted that he didn't see eye-to-eye with Maple Leafs coach Randy Carlyle last season.
Reimer also said that he has nothing against playing for Carlyle. The 26-year-old goaltender is coming off of a rough season and has lost the starting job in Toronto to Jonathan Bernier. We wouldn't be surprised if the Leafs trade him before the start of the 2014-15 campaign.

James Reimer has signed a two-year, $4.6 million contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Reimer had an arbitration hearing scheduled with the Maple Leafs for Monday. He lost the starting job to Jonathan Bernier last season and has reportedly requested a trade. The Maple Leafs might still be able to accommodate his request, but most teams are already locked in when it comes to their goaltending, so Toronto only has a limited number of potential trading partners.

James Reimer is set to have his arbitration hearing on July 28.
Reimer is coming off of a rough season where he posted a 3.29 GAA and .911 save percentage in 36 contests. He has completed a three-year, $5.4 million contract. It wouldn't be surprising to see the Maple Leafs trade him over the summer.

James Reimer filed for salary arbitration on Wednesday.
Reimer was reduced to a backup role this past season after Jonathan Bernier came to Toronto from Los Angeles. Reimer reportedly asked for a trade over the weekend, but the Leafs won't give him away for nothing and the market is thin for goaltenders riht now. "If there is a deal that makes sense for us, then we would look to do it," Leafs GM Dave Nonis said. He posted a 12-16-1 record with a .911 save percentage and 3.29 goals against average last season.

Toronto Maple Leafs goalie James Reimer reportedly ask for a trade, with a deal being discussed with the Winnipeg Jets during the 2014 NHL Draft.
The RFA certainly would be a sensible fit in Winnipeg, where Ondrej Pavelec is far from a lock as the No. 1 guy. It might take some time to see if Reimer ends up with a job that's closer to a backup or 1B role, with Toronto not totally being out of the realm of possibility.

Toronto GM Dave Nonis hasn't ruled out a return to the Leafs' crease for James Reimer next season.
Nonis hasn't had any contract talks regarding the pending restricted free agent and Reimer's name has been linked to trade speculation since the end of the regular season. The Leafs appear to be set on Jonathan Bernier as their starter, but keeping Reimer may not be a bad idea if another insurance policy doesn't present itself.

James Reimer was solid in Team Canada's 6-1 win over Italy at the IIHF World Hockey Championships in Belarus Friday.
Reimer certainly earned some praise from Team Canada coach Dave Tippett, who stated the obvious, "Reimer played very well". Reimer may need a fresh start to his NHL career after a very inconsistent season in Toronto behind starter Jonathan Bernier. We woudn't be surprised if he were traded by or before the start of the June amateur entry draft provided Bernier responds well from off-season sports hernia surgery.

James Reimer downplayed Canada's 3-2 shootout loss to France in the 2014 World Championship.
"I think we made a few mistakes, but that's to be expected when you're kind of rusty and coming back," Reimer said. The tournament certainly isn't over by any stretch of the imagination, but Canada losing to France is concerning under any circumstances. For Reimer in particular, it adds to his rough campaign. He's scheduled to become a restricted free agent this summer.

James Reimer stopped 26 of 28 shots in regulation in Canada's 3-2 shootout loss to France in the 2014 World Championship.
It was a shocking loss for Canada and obviously won't look good on Reimer's resume when coupled with the disappointing season he had. He's scheduled to become a restricted free agent and it wouldn't be surprising to see Toronto part ways with him.

James Reimer confirmed he will be suiting up for Team Canada at the upcoming World Hockey Championships in Belarus next month.
Reimer joins a solid bunch of players already confirmed to be playing for Canada, including Ryan Ellis, Alex Burrows, Sean Monahan, David Perron, Kyle Turris and Kevin Bieksa. Canada's roster should be announced on Wednesday by the team's GM Rob Blake.
