James Reimer will get the nod in Detroit on Tuesday night. He will be starting his second game in a row and making his fourth straight appearance in Toronto's cage. Jonathan Bernier is out with a groin strain, so Reimer becomes the Leafs' number one option in his absence. The Leafs play again on Wednesday versus Tampa Bay and that night, Marlies call-up Drew MacIntyre may get his first NHL start if Bernier isn't ready to return.

James Reimer dropped his third decision in his last four games as the Washington Capitals beat his Toronto Maple Leafs 4-2 on Sunday. Reimer stopped 29 out of 32 shots in this defeat, which dropped his record to 11-9-1 with a .913 save percentage and 3.22 GAA in 2013-14.

James Reimer stopped all 31 shots he faced in Toronto's 3-2 win over Los Angeles Thursday evening. Reimer replaced injured Jonathan Bernier to start the second period and he played a fantastic game. Reimer almost injured himself after he was clipped by Jarret Stoll's skate and stayed down on the ice face first with about five minutes left in the second period. Luckily he was able to continue for the rest of the game. Reimer now has a 11-8-1 record with a 3.23 GAA and .914 save percentage. He will be the number one goalie for Leafs, if Bernier injured himself badly. Stay tuned.

James Reimer allowed six goals on 48 shots in Toronto's 6-2 loss to San Jose Tuesday night. It was Reimer's second start in the past 13 games for Toronto, because he has not been playing very well this season. He has a 10-8-1 record with a 3.33 goals-against average and .910 save percentage. Look for Jonathan Bernier to start on Thursday against the Kings.

James Reimer played a strong game on Monday, but was saddled with a loss in a 2-1 decision to the Blue Jackets. Reimer turned aside 31 of the 33 shots he faced, but didn't receive much offensive support in the outing. His record falls to 10-7-1 with the loss while his GAA is now 3.20 and his save percentage is .913.

James Reimer will get the nod for Toronto on Monday versus Columbus. He hasn't played since he was pulled on Jan. 25 against Winnipeg. Adjust your lineup accordingly.

James Reimer could end up starting Monday night against Columbus. "That is under consideration, for sure," coach Randy Carlyle said Sunday. "I don't think we can look past the fact we have given up too many goals in the last two games." If Reimer does get the nod then it will mark his first appearance since Jan. 25. Toronto won't have morning skate on Monday, so lineup news probably won't be known until close to game time.

James Reimer is eager to get another start after he was pulled Saturday night against Winnipeg. "It's tough when you get in and you don't have a good game," he said. "It doesn't sit well. It's harder if you don't play (regularly). You can't get right back in there and prove yourself again. In a case like this when things aren't going that way, it makes it a little tougher. But you're a pro and you have to find a way to stay positive. Come Monday, I am going to work my butt off in practice and be the best I can and that is how we move on." It's unlikely that he'll get an immediate opportunity to redeem himself though, as Jonathan Bernier will probably get the nod on Tuesday versus Tampa Bay.

James Reimer didn't get out of the second period as the Leafs lost to the Jets 5-4 in overtime Saturday night. The Leafs have given up 12 goals over their last two losses. Reimer yielded four goals on 19 shots in 28:11. Jonathan Bernier came in to relieve him, making 12 saves and ending up with the loss. Reimer has a 3.25 goals-against average and .911 save percentage this season.

James Reimer, who is slated to start against the Jets Saturday night, may be a very good fantasy play. Reimer, who has started only three of the Maple Leafs' last 15 games, is a Manitoba native and will have plenty of family and friends at the game Saturday night. He is also intent on trying to win back at least a share of the Buds' starting goalie position that he seemingly has lost to Jonathan Bernier over the last month.
