ADDEM: HOLIDAY WISH LIST primepucks.com Mon 12/28/15 3:02 PM

Hey folks, our normal ADDEM writeups will continue after the holidays, but here is a quick list of solid waiver-wire targets: GOALIES- Matt Murray, James Reimer DEFENSEMEN- Tyler Myers, FORWARDS- Tyler Bozak, Leo Komarov, Marcus Johansson

ADDEM: TOP LINE GEMS? primepucks.com Mon 12/14/15 4:22 PM

Brayden Schenn- Claude Giroux has gone nuts and is slowly bringing his line-mates with him. Schenn is no Voracek in terms of upside but he can  produce like a 60-point guy when G is cruising. The winger has collected 7 points over his last 10 contests.    Teemu Terevainen- Cushy spot on top line with Toews and Hossa would be prime for any fantasy owners liking but what doesn't appeal to me is Coach Quenneville's constant shuffling of that spot-meaning the youngster will need to keep producing or else. Be wary but worth a flier.    Beau Bennett- Playing with the Sid the Kid has its benefits. Just keep in mind his fantasy value is directly tied to this situation so he can go from decent to mediocre in no time.    Jason Pominville- Hey, I am shocked as well that his percentage of ownership dropped so much but that's what happens when you score just one goal in your first 23 games. Now, he is back in normal form collecting 6 points in the last 7 games while playing with Parise and Granlund on the top line.    James Reimer- Going with the unconventional choice here given that he had been injured and out of the lineup for awhile. But he is super close to returning and with Bernier in AHL, it's Reimers job to lose.

ADDEM: GOSTISBEHERE IS HERE! primepucks.com Mon 11/30/15 12:02 PM

Shayne Gotisbehere, Philsdelphia: The 22-year old has begun his NHL career with a few magnificent moments, most notably two overtime power-play winners over the last week. The Union College standout has quite the upside and will have the chance to stick on the top power-play unit while Mark Streit is out. Whether he can hold on to that spot depends on on how well he continues to play. 5 points in 8 games is not shabby so far. Give him a try if you are in need of defense.   Tyler Bozak, Toronto- We just all assumed that the Leaf's pivot would be an inferior fantasy asset after the departure of Phil Kessel but his production of late has proved otherwise. With 9 points over his last ten games, Bozak has been a key cog in Toronto's mild offensive resurgence and should be moving forward. While once considered a possible 70-point candidate, 50-60 is more like it. He could be a worthwhile no.5-6 fantasy forward.   James Reimer, Toronto -While currently shelved with an injury, he has clearly usurped Bernier as the Leafs top goalie. With Babcock having the team moving in the right direction, Reimer could be a huge fantasy piece during the second half of the season. Stash him away on the bench until he gets back in the crease.   Michael Stone, Arizona -Although more of a sleeper at this point, his two assist effort on Saturday gives him 4 points over the last 4 games. The 25-year old was slated to make up much of Keith Yandle's lost production but so far the results have been mixed. Regardless, 9 points in 23 games has him projected for 30+ pts. With any luck and modest development throughout the season, Stone is a definite sleeper for the 40-point mark. Like his upside.    Frans Nielsen, New York- The second line pivot had been dropped in many leagues due to a slow start but he continues to be a staple in the top Islander power play unit. His fantasy value took a major hit with Okposo moving to JT's line, but his power-play potential keeps him on our fantasy radar.

DAILY PRIME - APRIL 1, 2015: BRUINS NOT FOOLING AROUND primepucks.com Tue 3/31/15 9:46 PM

Blue Jackets showcasing for next season, Bruins put down Cats, OV gets 50 Two teams trying to finish out the season on high notes, the New Jersey Devils and Columbus Blue Jackets battled to a 3-2 Columbus win.  Players like Mike Cammalleri and Nick Foligno improved on their goal scoring with both reaching 27 on the season so far.  Cammalleri showed what he is capable of when healthy and Foligno displayed that he has arrived in the NHL.  Ryan Johansen had 2 assists on the night and with the Jackets starting to gain some experience, they should be better off next year as long as they don’t get hit with so many injuries like this year…. Alex Ovechkin reached 50 goals for the 6th time in his career and is in contention for the scoring title as well as the goal-scoring trophy with 77 points, just 2 points behind leader Sidney Crosby.  Oh, and the Capitals beat the Carolina Hurricanes 4-2, not only solidifying their hold on one of the wild card slots, but also chasing the NY Islanders for third place in the division…. The Florida Panthers gave it their best shot but the Boston Bruins came away with a 3-2 regulation win, putting the Cats 6 points behind the Bruins for that last wild card slot.  As impressive as the young Panthers have been this year, it was the young talent of the Bruins that provided the spark in the 3rd period as David Pastrnak (G, A) and Ryan Spooner (2A) showed what is to come in their NHL careers in this pressure-packed game…. The King is Back! Henrik Lundqvist turned aside 32 of 34 shots to gain his first victory since returning from injury, helping down the Winnipeg Jets 3-2. Cam Talbot had quite the fantasy run but his starts will be limited over the last two weeks as Lundqvist gets back to elite level... The struggling Toronto Maple Leafs win their second straight contest, prevailing 3-1 over a Tampa Bay squad coming off a huge win of their own over Montreal. Nazem Kadri led the way with a goal and an assist while goalie James Reimer saved 40 shots for the Leafs. Of fantasy consequence, Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman and forward Tyler Johnson missed the game due to injuries.. Albeit a light night in terms of shot faced, Ottawa's Andrew Hammond was back in fine form after saving 16 of 17 shots to preserve the 2-1 SO win over Detroit. The rookie looks good to go for his fantasy owners as Craig Anderson has not delivered in the clutch thus far. For Detroit, Petr Mrazek was solid again and will be getting the next start against Boston...

DAILY PRIME - DECEMBER 29, 2014: CAT SCRATCH FEVER IN FLORIDA primepucks.com Mon 12/29/14 8:49 AM

The highest scoring team in the NHL, the Toronto Maple Leafs, were outscored by one of the lowest scoring teams, the Florida Panthers in a 6-4 shoot'em out battle in Miami, Florida. The Leafs had built a 4-2 lead going into the 3rd period but the Cats clawed back as they scored 4 unanswered goals as Roberto Luongo (18/22 SV) outlasted James Reimer (28/33 SV). The regulation win kept the Panthers close to a playoff spot....James van Riemsdyk, with a goal and assist, and Joffrey Lupul (2A) were the offensive sparks for Toronto while Dmitry Kulikov (G, A) and Jussi Jokinen (2A) were their counterparts for Florida.... Heading over to the West Coast, it was the Anaheim Ducks prevailing over the Vancouver Canucks 2-1 in overtime as G Frederik Andersen turned aside 12 of 13 SOG getting a relatively easy night in back-to-back starts. Andersen has now started 20 of 21 games for the Ducks and it looks like backup Ilya Bryzgalov will only be seeing spot duty every now and then....D Cam Fowler scored the game-winner and now has 7 points in 13 December games. This may be a good "buy-low" situation on the Anaheim defenseman.

DAILY PRIME- DECEMBER 11, 2014: KESLER PICKING UP SLACK primepucks.com Thu 12/11/14 4:44 AM

With 23 points in 30 games, Anaheim's Ryan Kesler is not exactly "lighting the world on fire' but he has been streaking of late with Corey Perry out due to injuries. In the 2-1 win over Edmonton, the hard-nosed pivot scored the game-winning tally, giving him four goals and five points in his last three games. Previous to his mini-streak, he had collected just one point in five games. Take our advice and start Mr. Kesler over the next few weeks, as the Ducks will need his offense.. Low-scoring affair in Detroit, as Gustav Nyquist and Phil Kessel trade goals during regulation before the Maple Leafs prevailed in the shoot-out 2-1. James Reimer was solid between the pipes for the Blue and White, but expect Jonathan Bernier to be back in net for the next tilt..

Goalie Start: Reimer leads the Maple Leafs onto the ice for warmups. dailyfaceoff.com Sun 11/9/14 7:56 PM

Reimer stopped 30 of 33 shots in the Maple Leafs 3-2 loss to the Coyotes on Tuesday. With Jonathan Bernier starting last night, it will be Reimer on Sunday against a Senators team who he is 9-2-1 against in his career. Reimer should be a great Sunday start given his history of success vs. Ottawa.

Goalie Start: Reimer is expected to start on Sunday. dailyfaceoff.com Sat 11/8/14 2:56 PM
