Brian Elliott and Jaroslav Halak's contracts are both set to expire in the summer of 2014, so it would make sense if Allen spent the 2013-14 campaign in the minors and then the Blues re-signed one of Elliott and Halak to play alongside Allen in 2014-15. That being said, there's still a chance that all three netminders could make the Blues' team out of training camp.
