Allen was pulled after allowing three goals on just nine shots in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Islanders. Martin Brodeur was unexpectedly thrust into action after the first period in relief of Allen, who has given up 12 goals in his four starts since Brian Elliott (knee) went down. Owners should be a bit worried at this point given Allen's struggles to embrace St. Louis' starting role combined with the signing of Brodeur, and although it's not yet official, don't be surprised if Broduer gets the nod Monday against Florida.

Allen will be between the pipes Saturday against the Islanders, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Allen gave way to new backup Martin Brodeur on Thursday night against the Predators, but only because it was the second game of a back-to-back set. Other than those scenarios, Allen is in line for a heavy slate of starts in place of the injured Brian Elliott, perhaps making him a top-10 fantasy goalie during that time. He owns an 8-3-1 record and 2.32 GAA over 12 outings.

Allen stopped 29 of the 33 shots he faced in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Blackhawks. With starter Brian Elliott (knee) out of the lineup for a while, Allen was originally expected to get the majority of the starts in net for the time being. That could change now that the team has signed Martin Brodeur, who is expected to get his first start sometime this week.

Allen will start Wednesday's game against the Blackhawks, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports. With starter Brian Elliott week-to-week with a knee injury, Allen should get the majority of the starts over the next month, although the team is expected to sign veteran netminder Martin Brodeur to play the role of experienced backup.

Allen was phenomenal in Saturday's win over the Wild, stopping 36 of 38 shots in regulation, before denying all three Minnesota shooters in the shootout. Allen is now 8-2-1 on the season with a .918 save percentage and 2.16 GAA. With Blues' starting goaltender Brian Elliott (knee) sidelined, Allen is absolute fantasy gold right now. Saturday was arguably Allen's best game in a Blues uniform, making him a must-add in most fantasy formats. The 24-year-old has only allowed nine goals in his last four games, establishing himself as a reliable and consistent fantasy option. Grab him while you can.

Allen will be in goal for Saturday's game against the Wild, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports. Allen, who picked up the win Friday, will start back-to-back nights for the first time this season with fellow goaltender Brian Elliott (knee) sidelined. He will be challenged Saturday by a Minnesota squad that has won six of its last eight contests.

Allen was not especially sharp Friday against the Oilers, stopping just 13 of 16 shots, but still managed to come away with a 4-3 win thanks to Vladimir Tarasenko's overtime goal. This makes two consecutive games where Allen has looked shaky, after coming in to relieve an injured Brian Elliott and coughing up a 2-0 lead Tuesday against Ottawa. The Blues have even gone so far as to invite Martin Brodeur to practice with the team this week, which suggests a reluctance on their part to rely on Allen as their full-time starting netminder. Allen may get another start Saturday against Nashville, but the outlook is cloudy beyond that, as Brodeur may wind up entering the picture as soon as next week. Fantasy owners should make sure they have a backup option at the ready, just in case Allen winds up on the bench.

Allen will be between the pipes Friday against the Oilers, Jack Michaels of the Oilers Radio Network reports. Allen will get a relatively easy inauguration into what could be a long-term stint as the Blues' No. 1 goaltender, as he'll be facing an Edmonton squad that went to overtime Thursday night before dropping its eighth straight game. The Blues are calling Brian Elliott (knee) week-to-week for now, which should guarantee Allen a steady stream of starts.

Allen stopped 15 of 17 shots in relief of Brian Elliott (lower body) on Tuesday, ending up with a shootout loss. The Blues led 2-0 well into the third period, but Allen coughed up a pair of goals, including Alex Chiasson's game-tying tally with 41 seconds remaining. If Elliott misses time, the Blues will be counting on Allen to make most of their starts in goal for a period of time.

Allen made 28 saves in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Jets. Allen has performed well in limited action with a 2.00 GAA, running his record to 6-2-0 after Sunday's victory. He's been one of the more reliable backup netminders so far, and his play has earned him more starts than most backups.
