Allen was charged with four goals on 30 shots in Thursday's road loss to Montreal. Allen had been on a four-game winning streak prior to Thursday, but has also given up 10 goals over his last three games, finishing with a sub-.900 save mark in each. Nonetheless, he remains one of the league's finer backups and has been seeing a sufficiently reasonable amount of use to be worthy of owning in deeper leagues.

Allen will make his next start Thursday against the Canadiens, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Though Allen faded late before pulling out the victory in his last start Thursday against the Predators, he's still firmly in a timeshare with Brian Elliott. Allen has a 5-1 record, 1.67 GAA and .933 save percentage over his six outings and be a fairly safe fantasy option against the Canadiens.

Allen allowed three goals on 25 shots Thursday against the Predators, but came away with a 4-3 win. Not the sharpest of outings for the 24-year-old Allen, but it's still good enough to be his fourth straight win and fifth in six starts as Brian Elliott's backup.

Allen will start between the pipes for the Blues on Thursday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports. Allen has been superb for the most part this season, posting a 4-1 record along with a .944 save percentage and 1.40 GAA. His last outing hurt his sparkling numbers a bit, as he allowed three goals in the final 3:25 of the third period, but he will get a chance to right the ship Thursday against the Predators.

Allen allowed three goals on 27 shots -- all in the final 3:25 of the third period -- but managed to hold on for a 4-3 win over the Blues on Thursday. Well, it doesn't exactly compare to his consecutive shutouts, but it's still good for Allen's fourth win in five starts to open the season. It won't be surprising to see the Blues turn back to Brian Elliott on Saturday.

Allen will be in goal for Thursday's game against the Devils, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports. Allen will enter Thursday's game having not given up a goal in his last 127 minutes and 30 seconds of ice time. He will square off against the same Devils team he shut out his last time out Tuesday.

Allen outdueled the Devils' Cory Schneider on Tuesday, stopping all 26 shots that came his way in a 1-0 victory. This one was a scoreless tie deep into the third period before Vladimir Tarasenko's power-play marker gave Allen all the help he'd need. He's now posted shutouts in consecutive starts, and as good as Brian Elliott has been in his own right, it's clear that Allen needs to see more regular action.

As anticipated, Allen will get the start Tuesday with Brian Elliott getting the call Monday in New York. On the season, Allen is 2-1, allowing four goals while registering 67 saves in three appearances.

Allen was perfect on 24 shots in Thursday's 2-0 victory over Anaheim. A sparkling start from Allen, and one that's of some note in fantasy, as Brian Elliott has been a bit inconsistent in net for the Blues despite strong overall numbers. So far, Elliot's drawn two-thirds of the starts, but it wouldn't be surprising to see things push toward more of a timeshare if Allen continues putting out efforts like this.
