Tierney grabbed an assist, his first point in six games, and just 9:26 of ice time in Thursday's win over Dallas.Tierney has regularly been seeing under 10 minutes of ice time in the instances where he's actually getting in the lineup. He's played just 13 games since November 1 and failed to record a shot in six of those and was under 10 minutes of ice time in six of those. He's not playing often enough or consistent enough to justify a roster spot in most formats.

Tierney dished out a pair of assists in Saturday's loss to Carolina.
Tierney has put up back-to-back multipoint outings just three games into his call-up stint from AHL Worcester. While the 20-year-old has dominated at every level he's played at, Tierney is seeing too little ice time for this recent production to continue. While he's managed 24 points in 26 games in the AHL this season, Tierney needs to see more minutes before we can recommend looking at him in most fantasy leagues. The talent is there, though, so keep an eye on him.

Tierney tallied the first goal of his career as well as a late assist in Thursday's 5-1 stomping of the Canucks.
He'd managed only two points in his first 15 NHL games, but Tierney has produced at the AHL level this year to the tune of 24 points in 26 games, showing strong offensive upside as a 20-year-old. Keep an eye on the 2012 second-rounder -- he's got skills.

Tierney had a goal and two assists for the AHL Sharks in two games over the weekend.
That brings his point streak to five games, over which he has three goals and three assists. Tierney could be on the short list to get a call-up to the NHL again if the Sharks need someone.

Tierney was reassigned to AHL Worcester on Tuesday, Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area reports.
With Matthew Nieto (ankle) coming off injured reserve, 20-year-old Tierney is the odd man out. Tierney has two points (both assists) in 14 NHL appearances this season.

Tierney was recalled from AHL Worcester on Thursday, CSN Bay Area's Kevin Kurz reports.
After placing Matt Nieto (ankle) and Mike Brown (lower body) on injured reserve Wednesday, Tierney and defenseman Matt Tennyson were recalled to fill the vacated spots on the roster. Tierney previously made the Sharks' Opening Night roster, accumulating no goals and two assists in 11 games with the big club before his reassignment. He's since sizzled at Worcester (one goal, nine assists in 12 games), but it seems unlikely that level of production will carry over in his return to the Sharks, especially while he remains confined to a bottom-six role.

Tierney will be a scratch for the second straight game Thursday, according to Curtis Pashelka of the Mercury News.
Tierney played some good hockey so far, but he's young and the return of James Sheppard may crowd him out of the lineup and see him returning to the AHL to get more ice time.

Tierney will be a healthy scratch Tuesday against the Bruins, David Pollak of the San Jose Mercury News reports.
The return of James Sheppard (knee) from injured reserve will result in Tierney's removal from the lineup for the first time this season. Coach Todd McLellan offered some hope that Tuesday's move to the press box wouldn't become a permanent trend for Tierney, suggesting that observers shouldn't "read a whole lot" into the decision. Tierney produced two points and a minus-1 rating over his first six games, while primarily manning the third-line center spot for the Sharks.
