Tierney was reassigned to AHL Worcester on Tuesday, Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area reports. With Matthew Nieto (ankle) coming off injured reserve, 20-year-old Tierney is the odd man out. Tierney has two points (both assists) in 14 NHL appearances this season.
