Steen (undisclosed) won't play Saturday against the Predators, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although he won't suit up for the evening's contest, head coach Ken Hitchcock told reporters Steen was "a lot better" Saturday, suggesting he may be ready to return as soon as Tuesday against Boston. Check back for an update on the 32-year-old winger's status ahead of that contest.

Steen (undisclosed) did not take the ice for pregame warmups and is unlikely to play Thursday night's matchup against the Sharks, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
We'll release an update if Steen is in fact in the lineup prior to puck drop, but all signs point to him sitting out Thursday's game. He was effectively a game-time decision, which bodes well for his chances of playing Saturday at home against Nashville. Look for David Perron to get more work Thursday.

Steen is dealing with an undisclosed injury and his availability for Thursday evening's game against the Sharks will be determined in pregame warm-ups, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Blues are hoping that their decision to give Steen the day off for maintenance Wednesday will help him get back on the ice for the upcoming contest against the Toothed Teal, a team that has gone 6-4-0 in the last 10 games. Steen -- 10 points in 17 games -- is worth activating in most leagues once he's healthy, but fantasy owners setting daily lineups will have a small window of knowing whether he'll suit up.

Steen (undisclosed) took Wednesday off for maintenance, but coach Ken Hitchcock indicated that he's hopeful the veteran winger will play against the Sharks on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Maintenance days are generally given to players who need extra rest or are dealing with minor ailments, and Steen's case doesn't appear to be an exception. The 32-year-old has been streaky this season as he no longer has the support of two-way forwards David Backes and Troy Brouwer; 10 points in 17 games is OK, but Steen's minus-8 rating leaves a lot to be desired.

Steen exited Tuesday's contest against the Sabres for precautionary reasons, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
It remains unclear what the nature and severity of Steen's injury is but it's likely it is a minor issue as he was held out of the back end of the game for precautionary reasons. The Blues will likely have an update on the 32-year-old left winger's status after he undergoes evaluation in the coming days.

Steen assisted on Vladimir Tarasenko's game-winning, overtime goal in Saturday's 2-1 win over Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
Like the rest of the Blues' forwards, Steen has been mired in a scoring drought during the team's offensive malaise -- they've scored just seven goals in the past six games. His assist Saturday gives him points in two straight games, something that constitutes a hot offensive commodity on this roster.

Steen tallied his second goal of the year and chipped in an assist in a 6-4 win over the Flames
EDGE Analysis
On a night where David Perron stole the show with a hat trick and six shots on goal, Steen's terrific performance largely flew under the radar. He was a beast in this one, playing a whopping 23:55 -- including a game-high 4:47 on the power play -- in addition to the pair of points, and is up to seven points in six games this season.

Steen assisted on the Blues' lone goal in Tuesday night's 2-1 overtime loss to the Canucks. He added two hits, two penalty minutes and one shot on net in a forward-high 22:29 of ice time.
EDGE Analysis
After undergoing shoulder surgery this past summer, Steen's availability to start the season had been iffy, but the versatile forward rehabbed hard and got himself ready. And that's a good thing for the Blues. Steen has at least one point in each of the first four games. While a point-per-game pace over the a full season may be a reach, Steen could challenge his career high (64 points in 2014-15) if he continues to skate on a line with Vladimir Tarasenko.

Steen earned two assists -- one on the power play -- during Wednesday's 5-2 victory against the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
Concerns over Steen's shoulder can be put to rest, as the winger joined in on the fun during Opening Night and looks primed to reach 50-plus points for the fourth straight year. The 32-year-old underwent surgery in the offseason which resulted in a shaky preseason. However, the veteran was on ice for 20:07 during the opener, which is right around last year's average. Deploy Steen with confidence moving forward.

Steen returned to game action Wednesday night after rehabbing from shoulder surgery he underwent in June, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
After undergoing surgery, the prognosis was that Steen could return by November, but he undertook an aggressive rehab program, hoping to be ready for the World Cup, and got himself in shape to play before the regular season drops next week in Chicago. He acknowledged playing with some caution and the obvious timing issues after such a long time off the ice, but overall felt good and will have one more preseason game Saturday that will allow him to push it further.
