Steen scored his fourth goal of the postseason in Monday's Game 6 loss to the visiting Stars.
EDGE Analysis
The Winnipeg native also spent a whopping 24:28 on the ice in this one, which is a ton of playing time for a forward (especially in a non-overtime game). With eight points in 13 playoff games to date, Steen has been modestly productive (0.62 points per game), but is off the pace of his regular-season output of 0.78 points per game. With that in mind, look for him to come out with a purpose when Game 7 gets going Wednesday night in Dallas.

Steen lit the lamp twice -- once on the power play -- and added a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 6-1 victory over the Stars in Game 3.
EDGE Analysis
Steen found his mojo at home, earning just his second multi-goal outing of the year. The 32-year-old consistently rips towards net with 26 shots in 10 games during the playoffs, and now has three markers to show for it. The scoring rate is relatively low, although it's encouraging to see the winger hungry, especially against the struggling netminders of Dallas.

Steen finished Game 4 on Tuesday with a goal and an assist in a winning effort, 4-3.
EDGE Analysis
Steen would've finished with two goals if his empty-net insurance goal wasn't called back after a video review showed Steen was offside. Steen finished with 20:39 of ice time, third on the team, and also picked up a roughing and game misconduct penalty at the end of the game to finish the night with a total of 14 penalty minutes.

Steen notched a helper in Thursday's 2-1 overtime victory over Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
St. Louis needs Steen to be in top form after his lengthy absence from a shoulder injury, especially with the playoffs right around the corner. The top-line winger is looking spry, grabbing points in four of five since his return -- five assists. The 32-year-old has proven he's healthy and hungry for a strong postseason.

Steen recorded a pair of helpers in a 3-1 victory over the Avalanche on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Steen wasted no time getting back into the swing of things, as he found his way onto the scoresheet in his first game since Feb. 20. He's now tallied points in three of his last four games played, with a goal and four assists in that span.

Steen (shoulder) is set to return to the Blues' lineup Tuesday against the Avs.
EDGE Analysis
With Steen -- who is no longer listed on the Blues' IR list -- back in action and in line to skate on a line with Patrik Berglund and David Backes, look for Dmitrij Jaskin and Magnus Paajarvi to be scratched for Tuesday's contest. Steen -- who last played back on Feb. 20 -- returns to the mix with 17 goals and 47 points in 61 games for the Blues to date.

Steen (shoulder) is set to rejoin the lineup for Tuesday's tilt against Colorado, Lou Korac of the St. Louis Post Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Steen's injury was recently impacting his shooting ability, but it appears that hurdle has now been passed. He centered the third line during Monday's practice session alongside David Backes and Patrick Berglund and seems likely to slot in there Tuesday as well. Steen also participated on the power play during the practice so it appears the team is willing to throw him into the fire right off the bat. Those that have held on to the 32-year-old will finally be able to cash in, and he should be a popular pickup in leagues where he's unowned.

Steen (upper body) continues to participate in practice and is skating hard, but is still having problems shooting the puck, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. "Obviously with time, it's going to heal on its own," Steen said. "Like I said before, I feel like it's a slow process. It's just not good enough right now. This is going to take the time that it takes. They're long days right now."
EDGE Analysis
Steen was injured Feb. 20 in Arizona with what appeared to be a shoulder injury and has missed 11 games. He hopes to get back on the ice at some point before the end of the regular season, but isn't stressing out about getting a certain number of games in before the postseason -- when the shoulder's ready, he'll play. The Blues have 10 regular-season games remaining.

Steen (upper body) was on the ice with teammates for Monday's morning skate prior to a game against Calgary, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
There's still no firm return date for Steen, but it's an encouraging sign that he's traveling with the team on its current road trip. The original timeline, offered Feb. 21 when he was placed on injured reserve, called for Steen to be reevaluated in one month, which puts him about one week out from the next major update on his status.

Steen (upper body) has been able to return to the ice during the past week and appears to be progressing well, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Steen -- who was initially given a timetable of at least a month after landing on the IR on Feb. 21 -- will be reevaluated in two weeks. That would line up with the beginning of the timetable, and it looks as though the winger is moving along as expected, so a return toward the end of March appears to be within the realm of possibility.
