Steen has been placed on IR by the Blues due to an upper-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
The report adds that Steen -- who ranks second on the Blues with 47 points in 61 games to date -- will be re-evaluated in four weeks. Per the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Steen left the ice during Saturday's win over Arizona "cradling his left arm" after landing awkwardly following a hit, an issue that will cost the forward at least a month of action.

Steen appeared to injure his left arm/shoulder and was forced to leave Saturday night's 6-4 win over the Coyotes, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. The team will provide an update on his condition Monday, though Tom Timmerman of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported he was not in a sling following the game.
EDGE Analysis
Steen skated off the ice early in the first period, cradling his left arm in his right after being shoved into the boards by Arizona's Kevin Connauton, contacting the wall first with his left shoulder. After Steen left, the Blues cycled forwards to replace him on the line with Patrik Berglund and David Backes. If Steen is unable to skate Monday night against San Jose, the Blues will find a permanent replacement for him.

Steen scored his 16th goal of the season in Friday night's 5-3 win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
This was Steen's third goal in the past 18 games, well off his usual scoring pace. Steen, along with the rest of the big guns on the team, has been relatively silent during a six-game scoring slump, but they all broke out Friday. Steen, David Backes, Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko all contributed goals in the win over the Panthers.

Steen opened the scoring with his 15th goal of the season and had five shots on goal in Friday's shootout loss to the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
While it was a strong showing from Steen in regulation, the 31-year-old couldn't beat Semyon Varlamov once again in the shootout. Steen has scored twice in his last three games and is up to 42 points in 51 games. The Blues have won four straight games and Steen continues to play a big role, logging heavy minutes at even strength and special teams, so keep him rolling.

Steen exited Thursday's game against the Hurricanes with an undisclosed injury and did not return, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear exactly what caused Steen's injury, but Ken Hitchcock didn't offer an update on him following the contest. The winger's next chance to play now comes Saturday against the Canadiens, but the team is expected to further update his status at some point Friday, which should provide a better timetable on his availability.

Steen notched a pair of assists -- one on the power play -- to snap a three-game pointless skid Tuesday in a 5-2 win over New Jersey.
EDGE Analysis
He still hasn't scored a goal since Dec. 29, and Steen has oddly put only two pucks on net in the last three games combined -- an odd stretch for a guy who averages well over two shots per a game. But Steen will likely soon make those numbers a distant memory, as he's been one of fantasy's most reliable producers when healthy over the last three years.

Steen collected two assists in Monday's 3-2 overtime loss to the visiting Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Things were looking good for Steen and the Blues nearly two periods in before Mike Hoffman scored late in the second and Bobby Ryan tied it in the third before sniping the winner in overtime. Nonetheless, Steen continues to impress this year with 37 points in 42 games this season, punctuated by a healthy 124 shots on goal which is good for 16th-most in the NHL and second on the team to stud Vladimir Tarasenko's 150 SOG.
