Galchenyuk scored twice Saturday in a 5-2 win over Tampa Bay to reach the 30-goal mark for the first time this season. He also added an assist.
EDGE Analysis
Galchenyuk finished the season with 30 goals and 56 points, and won the Habs' player of the year for his performance. He has eight points, including four goals, in his last nine games. Galchenyuk has progressively increased his point total each and every season, so we fully expect him to take another jump in 2016-17.

Galchenyuk had two helpers -- including on the game-winning goal -- in Tuesdya's 4-3 win over the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
A plus-3 rating rounded out a successful night for the 22-year-old, who currently has four points in the last four games. Galchenyuk's 52 points this season is a new career high, but he unfortunately sports an unattractive rating of minus-11, due in large part to the struggles of Montreal as a whole this season. Still, Galchenyuk has been a solid fantasy producer all season, and that should continue through the final few games.

Galchenyuk had an assist in Thursday night's 4-3 loss to Detroit. The point gives him 50 for the season, the first time he's reached that plateau in his career.
EDGE Analysis
Galchenyuk becomes the first Canadien aged 22-years or younger to hit the 50-plateau since Andrei Kostitsyn (53 points) in 2007-08. We're betting Galchenyuk's career tracks better than Kostitsyn's, but he may need a new voice on the bench. As he's ben the Habs' most productive player over the past few weeks, it's odd that head coach Michel Therrien gave him less ice time (16:43) than the 31-year-old Torrey Mitchell (17:54). Therrien really needs to let the young guys play.

Galchenyuk had four shots and scored his team-high 27th goal in Tuesday night's 4-3 win over Anaheim.
EDGE Analysis
Galchenyuk finds the back of the net after going three games without scoring. That's a drought that seems unfathomable after the young forward scored 12 goals on 30 shots in a 10-game span. Something about the three-game goal-less streak that jumps out is that Galchenyuk had just four shots on net, so it was encouraging to see him getting off shots against the Ducks on Tuesday. As the Canadiens play out the string, one thing worth turning out for is to see if Galchenyuk can reach the 30-goal mark.

Galchenyuk lit the lamp and added four PIM in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
The 22-year-old is really having an exceptional month, finding twine nine times in seven outings (four multi-goal games). That now puts Galchenyuk at a career high of 47 points, and at this rate, 50 should be a breeze. The first line is looking like the center's new home, and the 2012 first-round pick has basically turned into fantasy gold since the change by coach Michel Therrien.

Montreal head coach Michel Therrien said Galchenyuk, who's scored 11 goals in the past eight games, is "not the same player that he was maybe three months ago," the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Therrien defended his decision to bring Galchenyuk along slowly, saying the team wasn't reaping results when the 22-year-old lined up at center earlier this season. "I got to give a lot of credit to Alex," Therrien continued. "The fact that he kept working, kept working, and now that he's got that opportunity he's certainly taken full advantage of it. I think he's more mature in his game, he's going harder to the net, he's paying a little bit more attention to detail."

Galchenyuk scored two goals -- the latter on a power play -- in Thursday's 3-2 win over Buffalo. He's now scored two goals in three consecutive games and five of the last eight.
EDGE Analysis
The 22-year-old did the heavy lifting after Montreal fell behind 1-0 nine minutes into the second period -- just nine seconds later, Galchenyuk unleashed a one-timer past Robin Lehner. He got open on a power play 10 minutes later, delivering a 2-1 lead on another one-timer. This has been a lost season for the Habs, but they can point to Galchenyuk's emergence as a positive moving forward -- he continues to build on his career high in goals (now 25) and has now tied last year's career-best 46 points. Picking up 11 goals and an assist over the last eight games has certainly helped in that cause.

Galchenyuk went plus-2 with two goals, an assist and two PIM in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win against Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
Galchenyuk's upper-body injury was worrisome coming into Tuesday, but the 22-year-old apparently felt no ill effects, notching his third multi-point outing of March. The 2012 first-round pick has six goals in four contests, giving him 23 on the season. The Wisconsin native clearly enjoys skating with Max Pacioretty and Sven Andrighetto on the top line.

Galchenyuk (upper body) will suit up for Tuesday's tilt against the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
Galchenyuk's owners will be happy to see that the 22-year-old forward won't be forced to miss any time, as he's been on fire of late, racking up seven goals in his last six games. The former first-round pick should continue to be highly productive for his owners down the stretch, as he's finally been moved back to his natural center position after skating as a winger for much of the 2015-16 campaign. Galchenyuk will skate between Max Pacioretty and Sven Andrighetto on the Canadiens' top line in Tuesday's home matchup with Dallas.

Galchenyuk (upper body) is considered questionable for Tuesday's contest against the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
A recent promotion to the team's top line alongside Max Pacioretty and Brendan Gallagher, the injury comes at a bad time for Galchenyuk. However, he may have solidified a spot on the top line following a two-goal effort in Saturday's game against the Jets. There's no guarantee he won't be in for Tuesday's tilt anyway, but one of his new linemates (Gallagher) has already been ruled out. The top six will certainly have a different look for the next contest, but how different rests on the status of Galchenyuk. Expect another update on his status come game day.
