Galchenyuk (knee) will suit up for Thursday's meeting with Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Galchenyuk missed Montreal's last three contests after aggravating the knee injury that had previously cost him 18 games. The center performed well in between absences, as he racked up four points in five outings, three of which came on the power play. Despite his limited sample size -- just 30 appearances this season -- the center has capitalized on his opportunities with 11 goals and 16 helpers. If he can stay healthy, Galchenyuk should get back to providing top-end fantasy value. In order to make room for him on the 23-man roster, the Canadiens reassigned Daniel Carr to the minors.

Galchenyuk (knee) is listed on injured reserve, per the NHL's official media site.
EDGE Analysis
The punchy pivot has missed 20 non-consecutive games with the lingering ailment, but the good news is that he skated Tuesday morning. Given Chucky's status as a high-scoring, power-play weapon, it'll be worth monitoring his recovery all the way through.

Galchenyuk (knee) won't return to the lineup before the the weekend, Eric Engels of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Galchenyuk missed the two contests prior to the All-Star break due to the injury and will miss the first two games out of the break at a minimum because of it. The 22-year-old forward has picked up where he left off last season through 30 contests, notching 27 points (11 goals, 16 assists). When healthy, Galchenyk may return to center Sven Andrighetto and Andrew Shaw.

Galchenyuk (knee) will remain out of the lineup for Thursday's road game against the Islanders, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Chucky aggravated a knee injury that had kept him out for 18 games. With the All-Star break looming and the Habs having an eight-point cushion as the top team in the Atlantic Division, the club will evidently play it safe with the talented sniper, who's tallied 27 points -- including 11 on the power play -- and a plus-5 rating through 30 contests.

Galchenyuk (knee) re-aggravated the same injury that had previously kept him out for 18 games, and will not play Tuesday against Calgary.
EDGE Analysis
By all appearances, the re-injury happened during Saturday's overtime loss to the Sabres, though no official word has been given. Galchenyuk originally returned from the injury Jan. 14 and had played five games, tallying two goals and two assists. There is no indication as to Galchenyuk's status beyond Tuesday, but in the meantime Brian Flynn will assume Galchenyuk's duties as third-line center.

Galchenyuk posted a power-play goal and two assists in Friday's 3-1 win at New Jersey.
EDGE Analysis
Galchenyuk, recently bumped off the team's top scoring line, did not pout following the demotion. All three of his points came on the power play, and as long as he is on the man advantage he remains a decent fantasy asset. The multi-point effort was just his second over the past 14 outings, but he remains a useful option in most formats. Galchenyuk hasn't gone more than two straight games without a point this season.

Galchenyuk practiced on new line Thursday and will center a unit with wingers Sven Andrighetto and Andrew Shaw when the Canadiens face the Devils on Friday, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Galchenyuk recently returned from a knee injury that cost him 18 games and was handed back his job as the team's top center. Montreal coach Michel Therrien admitted putting him back out there on the No. 1 line may have been too much, too soon. So, it's a temporary shift to a line that will get fewer shifts and ice time, but we fully expect the talented forward's level of play return to where it was prior to the injury. When that happens, Therrien will adjust his lines accordingly.

Galchenyuk had three shots, a blocked shot and a minor penalty over 18:59 of ice time in Montreal's 1-0 loss to Detroit on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Galchenyuk was skating in his second game back after missing 18 games due to a knee injury. He played nearly two-and-a-half more minutes Monday than he did in his return Saturday. While the Habs were held scoreless by Detroit rookie Jared Coureau, Galchenyuk's line had good pressure and directed seven of Montreal's 18 shots toward the net.

EDGE Analysis
Galchenyuk was scoring at a point-per-game pace when he was sidelined and he's right back at it. Get him back in your lineup. Now.

Galchenyuk (knee) will return to the lineup Saturday against the Rangers, Arpon Basu of LNH.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Galchenyuk has been out of game action for close to six weeks, so it may take him some time to get settled. However, he must be close to 100 percent, since the Habs would have no reason to rush him back as a club sitting atop the Atlantic Division standings. Look for him to reprise his role in the top six, while getting power-play time as well.
