Carroll will start Saturday's game against the Hawks.

Carroll sat out Friday's matchup with the Lakers in order to get some rest, but he will be back in his regular role as the starting small forward Saturday night against his former squad.

Carroll will sit out Friday's game against the Lakers in order to rest.
EDGE Analysis
It was announced Thursday that Carroll would be held out of one end of the back-to-back games Toronto is playing Friday and Saturday, and it has now been revealed that he will not play in the first contest. Carroll is line to return to action Saturday against the Hawks, but it will be Norman Powell getting the start at small forward for a night.

Carroll will sit out either Friday or Saturday for rest, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll will continue to sit out during one game in back-to-back matches, like he did Monday against the Clippers after recording 33 minutes Sunday against the Kings. While Carroll has been sidelined, Norman Powell has replaced him in the starting lineup and will likely continue to do so during one game either Friday or Saturday.

Carroll will sit out Monday's game against the Clippers for rest, Rowan Kavner of Clippers.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll has been sitting out one game during back-to-back sets recently, so he'll get the night off for rest Monday after playing 33 minutes on Sunday against the Kings. Norman Powell should jump into the starting lineup in his place at small forward, which will give him the opportunity to see extended minutes again Monday. Look for Carroll to be back in the starting lineup for Wednesday's matchup with the Rockets.

Carroll scored 17 points (6-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go with four rebounds and two steals across 33 minutes in Monday's 102-99 loss to the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll hadn't played more than 24 minutes in a game since Oct. 31 against the Nuggets, but coach Dwane Casey was willing to loosen the reins Sunday on the 30-year-old, who responded with a season-high scoring total. It's possible the decision to give Carroll expanded time may have been influenced by the fact that the team will finish off the second half of a back-to-back set Monday against the Clippers, so there's a good chance the veteran forward will be rested for that contest. Carroll has sat out one game in both of the Raptors' previous back-to-back sets, which allowed Norman Powell to enter the starting lineup.

Carroll (rest) will play in Wednesday's game against the Warriors, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Raptors opted to give Carroll a day off for rest Tuesday on the first night of a back-to-back set. However, Carroll will be back in the lineup Wednesday and should be without any restrictions as the team's starting small forward. Norman Powell started in his place Tuesday, but should move back into a bench role and could see a slightly decreased role.

Carroll (rest) is active but is not expected to play in Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers.
EDGE Analysis
With the Raptors playing a back-to-back set against two of the NBA's best teams, the team is giving their small forward some rest as they continue to monitor his health. Carroll, who had knee surgery late last season, does not have any known injuries, but he should still be seen as questionable for the team's second game of the back-to-back on Wednesday. Norman Powell will start in his absence and likely see a big increase in minutes for as long as Carroll is out.

Coach Dwane Casey is still deciding if Carroll will play in either Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers or Wednesday's matchup with the Warriors, so he's currently considered a game-time decision in advance of Tuesday's tipoff, Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll had arthroscopic knee surgery late last season and the Raptors are likely just playing it safe with Carroll during the early portions of the 2016-17 campaign to avoid any aggravations, so they'll try and get him some rest every once in awhile. Tuesday and Wednesday's back-to-back set presents an opportunity to avoid extended work for Carroll, so he's expected to play in one, but not the other. However, Coach Casey has yet to decide on which outing he'll opt to use Carroll and a decision might not be made until pregame warmups are completed.

Carroll is likely to sit out Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll was rested for Saturday's matchup with the Knicks, and it appears he'll again be held out Tuesday, as he did not participate in the team's morning shootaround. It's unclear if Carroll is bothered by some sort of injury, but the Raptors should provide some sort of update later in the afternoon. Assuming Carroll sits, Toronto would likely start Norman Powell in his place, as was the case Saturday.

Carroll will dress for Saturday's game but he won't start and isn't expected to play for rest purposes.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll is being rested on Saturday but he'll warm up with the team and will be eligible to come off of the bench if necessary. He's expected to return to the starting five for Tuesday's game against Cleveland.
