Alonso left Tuesday's game with a right forearm strain, the Union Tribune's Dennis Lin reports. He left early in the game, possibly suffering the injury during his first at-bat, and was replaced at first base by Tommy Medica. He's considered day-to-day for now, but he could wind up needing a DL stint.

Alonso has cobbled together a .429/.467/.750 line with one home run, one triple, and four doubles in 28 at-bats since his activation from the DL on July 26. After missing more then a month due to right wrist soreness, Alonso has managed a hit in seven of 10 appearances. On the other hand, he's been held to the pine against both left-handed starters, as well as one righty, during that 11-game stretch, which forecasts his usage going forward. As long as he's hitting, though, he should be utilized in numerous formats.
