Padres activated 1B Yonder Alonso from the 15-day disabled list. Alonso had been on the shelf since the middle of June with tendinitis in his right wrist. Hand and wrist injuries have been known to sap hitters of their home run power, so don't expect Alonso to leave the yard much now that he's back with the Padres.
