Alonso was basically the only offense for the Padres Tuesday, as he went 3-for-4 at the plate while hitting his sixth home run of the year and adding a double in the Padres' 3-1 loss to the Twins. Although he had a fine performance Tuesday, it has been another rough season for Alonso, as he has battled injuries and consistency all year. Alonso now owns a pedestrian .225/.267/.372 slash line in 253 at-bats this year.
