Wright (shoulder) is still rehabbing his right shoulder but feels he'll be ready to go for spring training, Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bursitis and rotator cuff irritation have plagued the 32-year-old knuckleballer since he was injured while pinch running Aug. 7 against the Dodgers. Before the injury, he was 13-6 with a 3.33 ERA. He appears destined for a spot at the back end of Boston's rotation in 2017.

Wright (shoulder) is on schedule to be ready for spring training, the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
There was some optimism regarding Wright's chances to return had the Red Sox advanced to the ALCS -- after a full offseason of rest, the shoulder issue should be firmly the rearview mirror. The 32-year-old knuckleballer went 10-5 with a 2.68 ERA in the first half of 2016 en route to an All-Star selection, but struggled in seven second-half starts before hitting the shelf in early September. Wright figures to open 2017 in the rotation barring several big additions to the starting staff this winter.

Wright (shoulder) could be available for the ALCS if the Red Sox advance past their first-round series, Evan Drellich of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright has already been ruled out from pitching in the ALDS, but he is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Wednesday, and will at least have a chance to pitch again this season if he makes it through the session without any setbacks.

Wright (shoulder) will not pitch during the ALDS, Ryan Hannable of WEEI Boston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright was able to throw 35 pitches during a bullpen session Friday, but he still needs time to build up his stamina and will only even have a chance to pitch again this season if the Red Sox advance past the first round of postseason play.

Wright (shoulder) will join the Red Sox on Friday and pitch in the bullpen, Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear if Abraham means if Wright will actually pitch in a game out of the bullpen or merely throw a bullpen session, but it's an encouraging sign for the right-hander who hasn't pitched since Aug. 31.

Wright (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Tuesday and will throw another on Friday, the Boston Herald's Evan Drellich reports.
EDGE Analysis
It doesn't sound like Wright will be able to return for a start before the end of the season, although that has not been officially ruled out. The Red Sox may choose not to start David Price on the final day of the season if there is nothing on the line, so Wright could theoretically return for that start Sunday against the Blue Jays, but that is just speculation at this point.

Wright (shoulder) will not throw a bullpen session Sunday, as originally expected, Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright has been making progress while working out at the team's facility in Fort Myers, and it was anticipated that he'd throw a bullpen session over the weekend after progressing to throwing from 120 feet earlier in the week. However, his shoulder is still not quite ready, so the Red Sox will continue to handle the situation on a day-to-day basis. At this point, it's unclear if Wright will be able to return for the start of the postseason, should Boston qualify.

Wright (shoulder) threw out to 120 feet Wednesday at Boston's facility in Fort Myers (Fla.) and could meet the Red Sox for this weekend's in St. Petersburg to throw a bullpen session, Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is a hopeful sign that Wright can figure into Boston's postseason plans should the Red Sox qualify for the playoffs. Manager John Farrell doesn't have a target date for Wright, who hasn't pitched since Aug. 31, but the knuckleballer wouldn't need to build his arm strength like a conventional pitcher, so he could make a more rapid return.

Wright (shoulder) began his throwing program in Fort Myers on Monday, Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
As anticipated, Wright arrived in Fort Myers on Monday to begin intensifying his throwing program. He'll throw off of flat ground Monday for the second straight day, with the expectation that he'll progress to elevated ground Tuesday. The Red Sox have not set a target return date, but the hope is that Wright will be ready to join the rotation as the third starter should Boston make the playoffs.

Wright (shoulder) made about 100 throws Sunday at 60 feet Sunday and is heading to Fort Myers (Fla.) on Monday to intensify his rehabilitation program, Chris Mason of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Half of Wright's throws Sunday were off flat ground, but he'll be moving out to 90 when he throws Tuesday. He's hoping to get ready for at least one more start in the regular season and become the third starter behind David Price and Rick Porcello should the Red Sox qualify for the postseason.
