Wright (knee) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Thursday, Evan Drellich of CSN New England reports.
EDGE Analysis
Given that Wright is out for the season, he was an obvious choice to land on the 60-day disabled list to make room for Hector Velazquez on the 40-man roster. The knuckleballer underwent knee surgery on May 8 and will spend the rest of the season rehabbing his injury.

Wright underwent succesful surgery on his left knee Monday, Tim Britton of the Providence Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright will miss the remainder of the season after having the surgery. Kyle Kendrick will fill his spot in the rotation until David Price (elbow) is able to return.

Wright (knee) will undergo surgery on his injured knee and will miss the rest of the 2017 season, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports that the operation is a cartilage restoration operation that will be performed next week. Most of the details regarding Wright's injury had been pretty murky up to this point, so it comes as a disappointment that the injury is so serious to those who were stashing him while his timetable was more manageable. This surgery is also one that can take up to a year for a full recovery, which means the knuckleballer could also miss the beginning of next season. With Wright missing the remainder of the season, Kyle Kendrick will fill his spot in the Red Sox's rotation until David Price (elbow) is back in action.

Wright is likely headed for knee surgery, the Boston Globe's Pete Abraham reports.
EDGE Analysis
It is unclear what the extent of the knee surgery will be, but after getting further examined by a knee specialist Tuesday, it sounds like he will indeed be going under the knife. This situation is murky, but it is probably safe to rule Wright out for at least a month. Kyle Kendrick has been tabbed as his temporary replacement in the rotation, and David Price (elbow) will likely eventually take over that spot.

Wright met with a knee specialist Tuesday, Evan Drellich of CSN New England reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager John Farrell said that at this point in time, it's too soon to tell whether or not Wright's injury will require surgery. However, once the results of Wright's examination are revealed it should be easier to figure out what needs to be done to get him back in full health and gauge when the righty could possibly return.

Wright has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a sprained left knee, Evan Drellich of CSN New England reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's still possible that Wright will miss only one start, although we'll have to wait until later in the week for a full update. The Red Sox haven't yet made a decision as to who will take Wright's spot in the rotation. Brandon Workman was recalled to take his spot on the roster, but his job may wind up being in the bullpen.

Wright's knuckleball had more movement in his loss Saturday than it has had in previous starts this season, Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal reports. "This was his best knuckleball he's had to date," manager John Farrell said.
EDGE Analysis
Wright, who failed to get out of the fourth inning in his previous start, sought help from assistant coach Brian Bannister to get his release point back and it had the desired effect. He threw his hardest knuckler all season, averaging 75 mph and touching 80 on several occasions, with the most movement its had in his five starts. Unfortunately, he got touched up two more home runs giving him nine homers allowed and an 8.25 ERA in 24 innings this season. If/when David Price (elbow) is ready to pitch again, Wright's spot in the rotation is in jeopardy.

Wright (1-3) allowed five runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out four batters over 6.1 runs during Saturday's loss to Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
With an 8.25 ERA, 1.88 WHIP and 4.9 K/9, Wright isn't moving the fantasy needle, and he could be in jeopardy of losing his rotation spot once David Price (elbow) is ready to return to action. The knuckleballer has easily been Boston's worst starter early on this season, after all. Still, he'll probably receive another couple starts to find his 2016 form and make the rotation decision a little tougher for the Boston brass. A date with the Orioles is on tap, and it doesn't project as a fantasy-friendly matchup for Wright.

Wright, who starts Saturday against the Cubs, had a more energetic motion during bullpen session that led to more movement on his knuckleball, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright's 8.66 ERA and seven homers allowed in 17.2 innings are shocking to the system. The working theory is that there's some predictability in the movement of his knuckler, so the results of his bullpen session are promising. None of the Cubs players have faced Wright, which should play to his advantage Saturday.

Wright (1-2) allowed four runs on nine hits over 3.2 innings in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
It all unraveled quickly for Wright, who cruised through three innings before the Orioles reached him for six hits, including two home runs. The knuckle-baller, who permitted 12 homers over 156.2 innings in 2016, has already been tattooed for seven long balls in 17.2 innings this season. Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal, with visual aid from the invaluable BrooksBaseball.net, points out that the movement of Wright's knuckler isn't where it was prior to his shoulder injury last season. "I just don't feel like they have the violence they used to have last year," Wright said. "It's not as unpredictable as it was last year before I got hurt."
