Pearce (calf) was activated from the disabled list and will start Friday's contest with the White Sox, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce has been sidelined roughly a month due to an ailing calf, but it seems like he's good to go for the weekend series with Chicago as planned. He'll take over his normal starting role in left field and will bat seventh Friday as he looks to improve upon the career-worst .629 OPS he produced prior to getting hurt. To make room for him on the active roster, Chris Coghlan (wrist) was moved to the disabled list.

Pearce (calf) is expected to come off the 10-day disabled list at some point during the upcoming weekend, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Up until Tuesday, Pearce wasn't initially certain to take on regular at-bats when he returned from the disabled list, but that seems to be a greater likelihood after Ezequiel Carrera, who had been serving as the primary left fielder, suffered a fractured foot and was placed on the 10-day DL on Wednesday. The Blue Jays recalled Dwight Smith in a corresponding move to shore up the outfield depth, but Pearce's superior big-league track record should give him the edge in the playing-time battle once he's activated. Pearce moved his rehab to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday and played his fifth game of the assignment, going 1-for-4 with a run scored.

Pearce (calf) had his rehab assignment transferred to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce went hitless during his assignment with Double-A New Hampshire, but it seems like the Blue Jays were happy enough with his health at that stage to move him up to face more advanced pitching. He still seems to be a week or so away from returning to the Blue Jays, although more details on that front should emerge as he plays in more rehab games.

Pearce (calf) will commence his rehab assignment with Double-A New Hampshire on Thursday, Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce is still about two weeks away from returning to the major leagues, but he will need to play in a few rehab starts before he is ready to come back to Toronto. The 34-year-old has not played since mid-May, and was hitting just .205/.256/.373 with four home runs and 10 RBI this season.

Manager John Gibbons said Pearce (calf) is feeling better, but remains approximately two weeks away from returning to the lineup, Steve Buffery of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is the first time we've heard any news regarding Pearce's health status, and it appears the offseason acquisition is making encouraging strides. He'll likely need a few rehab games before he's ready for big-league action, but at least a timetable is beginning to come into focus.

Pearce (calf) is at least two weeks away from being activated from the disabled list, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Blue Jays have yet to report Pearce making significant progress rehabbing his calf, so their lack of a firm timeframe for his return doesn't come as much of a surprise. While Pearce is out, Ezequiel Carrera will likely remain Toronto's primary option in left field.

Pearce (calf) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
While the MRI results on his calf haven't been released yet, they apparently revealed something serious enough to warrant a trip to the disabled list. Pitcher Leonel Campos was recalled from Triple-A to take his roster spot, though Ezequiel Carrera will likely serve as the Blue Jays' primary left fielder while Pearce is sidelined. More should be known about a possible return date once the Blue Jays release more on his status.

Pearce will have an MRI on his calf, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce hit a double in the second inning of Sunday's game but was forced to leave shortly after. Once the results of the MRI are available, a timeframe for Pearce's eventual return should become clear.

Pearce, who left Sunday's game in the second inning, was diagnosed with calf tightness, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
The team has yet to elaborate on the severity of Pearce's injury, so consider him day-to-day for the time being. If Pearce has to miss additional time, Ezequiel Carrera will likely be added to the Blue Jays' outfield.
