Pearce (elbow) signed a two-year, $12.5 million deal Monday with the Blue Jays, Buster Olney of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce underwent surgery in September and was given an estimated recovery time of 4-to-6 months, but he is versatile defender after having played first base, second base, third base and the outfield over his time with the Rays and Orioles last season and managed to record .288/.374/.492 with 13 homes runs and 35 RBIs despite the injury. Whether he will be able to return in time for next year's spring training or not is still in question, but look for Pearce to primarily contribute as a first basemen while providing depth in the outfield in Toronto.

Pearce is reportedly drawing interest from the Blue Jays in free agency, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nearly two years after they claimed Pearce on waivers, only to see him elect free agency instead, the Blue Jays are once again interested in the 33-year-old. Pearce played first base, second base, third base, both corner outfield spots and often served as the designated hitter last season for the Rays and Orioles. He slashed .288/.374/.492 with 13 home runs and 35 RBI overall. With many potential losses to free agency, Toronto views Pearce as a possible right-handed platoon partner for Justin Smoak at first base, as well as insurance in the outfield.

Pearce (elbow) underwent successful surgery Wednesday, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce had to get the flexor mass tendon in his elbow operated on Wednesday, but everything went according to plan per the Orioles. Wednesday's procedure will obviously wipe out the rest of Pearce's season, but he could theoretically be ready for the start of the 2017 season.

Pearce is set to undergo surgery Wednesday in New York to repair the flexor mass tendon in his elbow, Rich Dubroff of CSN Mid Atlantic reports.
EDGE Analysis
As announced Sunday, Pearce will require surgery after a platelet-rich plasma injection failed to quell the discomfort in his elbow. Pearce's 2016 season is obviously over, and he'll now face a four-to-six-month recovery timetable, which should enable him to be back at close to full strength for the start of the 2017 campaign.

Pearce (elbow) was placed on the 60-day disabled list Sunday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
A return for the 2016 campaign is now out of the question for Pearce, who will need surgery to repair his elbow. His goal of being ready by April of 2017 seems attainable, as the tentative timeframe for his recovery is 4-6 months following surgery. Pearce will finish the season with a .288/.374/.492 line and 13 home runs.

Pearce got a platelet-rich plasma injection in his elbow Wednesday, Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per the report, the injection will knock Pearce out indefinitely, but manager Buck Showalter expressed optimism that the 33-year-old would be able to return in some capacity this season. With Pearce on the sideline for the foreseeable future, the Orioles are expected to select the contract of Paul Janish to add another infield bat to the roster.

Pearce will have his forearm examined Wednesday morning, CSN Mid-Atlantic's Rich Dubroff reports.
EDGE Analysis
He aggravated the injury on a throw in Monday's game, after initially dealing with forearm soreness at the end of August. The fact that he needs to have a second opinion on the injury suggests he might be worse off than day-to-day, and owners can therefore start looking at alternative options. There should be a more concrete diagnosis Wednesday.

Pearce is dealing with discomfort in his throwing elbow/forearm, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce said he aggravated the injury, which initially popped up at the end of August, on a throw to second base in Monday's game. While he and the team are hoping the soreness subsides within a day or two, Pearce acknowledged that he may undergo a second MRI. The first baseman is not in Tuesday's lineup and should be considered day-to-day in advance of Wednesday's matchup.

Pearce (elbow) went 1-for-3 with a solo homer as Baltimore's leadoff man Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce proved that his elbow injury was minor, returning with a bang after missing just one game. He hit at the top of the order with Adam Jones (hamstring) out, and did his best impression of the power-hitting leadoff man with a game-tying solo shot in the fifth inning. The veteran has now homered in back-to-back games after hitting just one between Jul. 20 and Aug. 27.

Pearce (elbow) is in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce did not start Monday due to elbow soreness, but he will be back in the lineup Tuesday night. Pearce will man left field Tuesday, and with Adam Jones (hamstring) not yet ready to start, he will hit out of the top spot in the batting order.
