EDGE Analysis
Pearce will head to the bench for a second straight contest as Ezequiel Carrera draws another start for him in left field. There has been no word of injury at this point, so it appears to be a couple of routine rest days for the veteran.

Pearce went 3-for-3 with a run scored in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
He's been showing signs of life at the plate since coming off the DL in mid-June, hitting a cool .500 (13-for-26) in nine games with a homer, six RBI and six runs, but with Ezequiel Carrera now healthy as well and Justin Smoak entrenched at first base, Pearce could find himself falling back into a left field platoon despite his hot streak.

EDGE Analysis
Initial X-rays on his knee came back negative, so early signs appear to indicate the 34-year-old avoided a more serious injury. He's being considered day-to-day by the Blue Jays for now, though that may change once he is further evaluated Thursday.

Pearce was removed from Wednesday's game with an apparent injury, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce came up limping after colliding with the outfield wall in the fifth inning, and while he was initially able to stay in the game, Kevin Pillar came on to replace him in the outfield the next inning. It's unclear what he injured at this point, but more should be known following the conclusion of Wednesday's game. Pearce was 3-for-3 with an RBI double and a run scored before being forced out of the contest.

Making his return from the disabled list, Pearce (calf) went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk Friday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce wasted no time getting back into the action, smacking a deep fly off Jose Quintana in his first big-league at-bat since May 14. With Justin Smoak crushing the ball (19 homers) this season, the Jays are unlikely to deploy a platoon at first base with Pearce as originally planned. That said, Ezequiel Carrera (broken foot) is in for an elongated DL stint, leaving Pearce to man left field on a regular basis until further notice.
