Pearce will serve as the Blue Jays' designated hitter and bat cleanup Wednesday against the Yankees, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce has been making most of his starts in left field lately, but with Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reporting that the 34-year-old recently had fluid buildup drained from his knee, manager John Gibbons will look to keep Pearce off his feet for at least one game. The knee issue doesn't sound like it's anything that will prevent Pearce from returning to outfield duty before long, so it shouldn't dramatically alter his fantasy outlook, which has been trending up lately. Over his last 10 appearances, Pearce has submitted a .422 on-base percentage to go with three home runs and 10 RBI.

Pearce is not in the lineup for Sunday's game in Houston.
EDGE Analysis
The outfielder has been running hot lately, but he'll cede left field to Norichika Aoki for a day. Pearce has played in 29 of the Jays' last 31 games, so he's due for a rest -- and with no game Monday, the veteran will get two days off. Expect Pearce back in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees.

Pearce went 1-for-4 with a home run, two runs and a walk in Wednesday's win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Not only did the outfielder smoke his 11th bomb of the year, but Wednesday's homer was his third in the last seven days. Pearce's fine week has included two walkoff grand slams, 10 RBI and four runs. Maybe more encouraging than his assault on the box score is the veteran's recently improved plate discipline. Pearce has struck out just three times in his last 35 plate appearances after going down by strikes in 22 percent of his plate appearances prior to July 26.

Pearce went 2-for-4 with another walk-off grand slam Sunday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
As if one walk-off grand slam wasn't enough, Pearce managed to put himself into the baseball history books by becoming one of the few people to hit multiple walk-off grand slams in general. The veteran seems to be getting back to his usual self at the plate, as his average now sits at .267 after hitting for a similar average since the All-Star break, and his 10 home runs and 32 RBI on the season put him well on pace with his career averages. He seems to have a good foothold on the starting left field job, although Ezequiel Carrera does swipe starts from him from time to time despite the surprisingly frequent grand slams.

Pearce went 1-for-5 with a walk-off grand slam during Thursday's win against the A's.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce registered his third home run since the All-Star break, and nearly doubled his RBI total during that span with one swing of the bat. The 34-year-old is in the midst of another solid season, hitting .268 with an OPS of .774 following Tuesday's victory. Although he missed nearly a month of action due to a calf injury earlier this year, Pearce is already approaching his power numbers from the past two seasons, accumulating nine home runs and 28 RBI in 57 games. The left fielder has been receiving more consistent playing time lately, but occasionally loses starts to Ezequiel Carrera in the outfield.

Pearce is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Athletics, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce has been hitting well as of late, hitting .325 with two homers since the All-Star break. He'll head to the bench for a night off, however, allowing Ezequiel Carrera to act as the left fielder for the evening.

Pearce went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and two RBI during Monday's win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
This was Pearce's second homer since the All-Star break and eighth of the season. He's received semi-regular playing time when healthy and sports a respectable .279/.337/.476 slash line through 48 games this season. Without consistent at-bats, Pearce's fantasy value is capped, but he's showed enough at the dish to warrant attention in deeper settings.

Pearce is out of the lineup Sunday against the Tigers, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Pearce sitting for the first time in the series, Ezequiel Carrera will enter the starting nine in left field. Pearce saw his five-game hitting streak come to an end with an 0-for-3 showing Saturday.

Pearce went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, his seventh of the year, in Friday's game against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
One of the Jays' prize offseason aquisitions disappointed with a .259/.320/.430 slash line through 44 first-half games. A calf injury sidelined him for a good chunk of time, allowing Justin Smoak to break through as the team's full-time first baseman. Now stuck in a left-field platoon with Ezequiel Carrera, Pearce's fantasy value has dropped significantly from where it was on Opening Day. However, the veteran has better tools than Carrera, giving Pearce the edge in playing time.

Pearce is out of the lineup Saturday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce has started in each of the past seven games, his longest such streak in an injury-mired season, but will get a routine day off Saturday. The veteran outfielder is off to a tough start this month, batting .167 with three RBI the past week. Ezequiel Carrera will take over left field in his absence and bat seventh.
