Pearce (calf) was activated from the disabled list and will start Friday's contest with the White Sox, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Pearce has been sidelined roughly a month due to an ailing calf, but it seems like he's good to go for the weekend series with Chicago as planned. He'll take over his normal starting role in left field and will bat seventh Friday as he looks to improve upon the career-worst .629 OPS he produced prior to getting hurt. To make room for him on the active roster, Chris Coghlan (wrist) was moved to the disabled list.
