Pearce (calf) will commence his rehab assignment with Double-A New Hampshire on Thursday, Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith reports.

Pearce is still about two weeks away from returning to the major leagues, but he will need to play in a few rehab starts before he is ready to come back to Toronto. The 34-year-old has not played since mid-May, and was hitting just .205/.256/.373 with four home runs and 10 RBI this season.
