Vogt (groin) remains out of the lineup Saturday against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The groin injury will cost Vogt another start -- it's his 12 straight absence -- and the A's have not provided a target date for the 30-year-old's return to the lineup. Vogt progressed to hitting off a tee earlier in the week, but will need to show he can hold up to full batting practice and run reasonably well before he can DH.

Vogt (groin) remains out of the lineup Friday against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
When Vogt first went down with the groin injury, manager Bob Melvin said "it could be a while" before the catcher returned to action. Sure enough, Vogt is now set to sit out for an 11th straight game, and it's unclear where exactly he stands in his recover. He progressed to hitting off a tee Tuesday.

Vogt (groin) remains out of the lineup Thursday, ESPN Chicago's Doug Padilla reports.
EDGE Analysis
He remains out of the lineup indefinitely, although he has recently begun minor baseball activities. Josh Phegley gets the start at catcher and will hit seventh Thursday.

Vogt (groin) remains out of the lineup Wednesday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Wednesday's absence marks Vogt's 11th straight, but Tuesday's activity provided a glimmer of hope that return may not be too far off, as he was able to take some cuts off a tee and reportedly felt OK. Carson Blair will get the start behind the plate for the A's on Wednesday.

Vogt (groin) hit off a tee prior to Tuesday's game and felt OK, MLB.com's Jane Lee reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was not in Tuesday's lineup, but it is encouraging that he is getting back to baseball activity. Josh Phegley is getting the start at catcher and hitting seventh Tuesday.

Vogt (groin) remains out of the lineup Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Vogt will miss his eighth consecutive contest while dealing with a groin issue. With the A's well out of contention, they certainly won't rush Vogt back, and some combination of Josh Phegley and Cameron Blair will continue to see starts in his place. It's Phegley who will be behind the plate Tuesday.

Vogt (groin) is not in the lineup Monday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
It's now seven straight contests with Vogt on the bench, as the 30-year-old is dealing with a groin injury. Josh Phegley will continue to fill in behind the plate, batting seventh Monday.

Vogt (groin) remains out of the lineup Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Vogt will miss his fourth straight game Friday, and he could miss more action as well. Expect Josh Phegley to see most of the starts behind the plate in Vogt's absence.

Manager Bob Melvin said "it could be a while" before Vogt (groin) is able to return to the lineup, MLB.com's Jane Lee reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vogt is still recovering from a groin injury that required two ultrasounds Tuesday, and he will rejoin the team Wednesday. It is a very fluid situation, but owners should be prepared to be without Vogt, at least in the short term. Josh Phegley and Carson Blair will get the starts at catcher while Vogt recovers. He will travel with the team on their upcoming road trip.

Vogt (groin) will travel with the team on its upcoming road trip, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Vogt will be in the clubhouse Wednesday and with the team when it heads out on the road Friday, manager Bob Melvin did not offer up a guess as to when Vogt may be able to rejoin the lineup. Vogt took a direct shot to the groin area Sunday on a foul tip and had to go to the hospital for testing.
