Vogt (groin) "probably" won't play Tuesday, CSN California's Joe Stiglich reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vogt is slated to be examined Tuesday, and even though manager Bob Melvin seemed to indicate that it's possible he'll play, it seems more likely that he will indeed be out of the lineup for a second game following the foul tip he took to the groin Sunday. However, it sounds like his absence may not extend much longer than that.

Vogt (groin) is out of the lineup Monday against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Unsurprisingly, Vogt will be unavailable Monday after the Athletics suggested that the catcher would be out for multiple days after he took a foul tip to the groin Sunday. The team sent Vogt to the hospital after he exited the game, but a more definitive timetable regarding his return has yet to be established. Josh Phegley will be behind the plate for Monday's game and should serve as Oakland's regular backstop until Vogt is ready to go.

Vogt (groin) was sent to the hospital for testing after Sunday's game, and he may be out for several days, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vogt was hit in the groin by a foul tip during Sunday's game against the Mariners. He was down on the field in obvious pain for a couple minutes, then walked off with some assistance. The A's should know more about the injury after Vogt's hospital visit, but it doesn't like he'll be in the lineup Monday afternoon against the Astros.

Vogt had to leave Sunday's game after taking a direct shot to the groin area, John Hickey of the Bay Area News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vogt will be replaced in the game by the young backstop Carson Blair, who will be making his Major League debut. Although Vogt is likely in a great deal of immediate pain, this isn't typically an ailment that forces a long-term absence.

Vogt has been scratched from Friday's starting lineup, Joe Stiglich of CSN California reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Bob Melvin's initial lineup had Vogt at first base, batting eighth, but the A's later released a lineup with Mark Canha at first and Tyler Ladendorf in left and the No. 8 spot in the order. A reason for Vogt's scratch was not immediately provided.

Vogt went 3-for-6, hitting a solo home run and scoring another run himself in a win Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The Athletics collected 18 hits as a team, but it was Vogt who hit the team's only home run, a booming blast in the fourth inning. Even with home runs in back-to-back days he's still batting a miserable .222/.289/.385 since the All-Star break, and has only knocked out four home runs after totaling 14 in the first half of the season.

Vogt is out of the lineup Friday against Cleveland.
Despite being a left-handed batter, Vogt will sit out Friday against Cleveland righty Danny Salazar. Vogt is listed as available on the lineup card, however, so he could make an appearance as a pinch hitter. Still, Josh Phegley will get the start behind the plate and Ike Davis will play first base.

Vogt (wrist) is in the lineup Saturday, batting third as Oakland's designated hitter.
Vogt took a pitch off the wrist Friday and had to be replaced by a pinch runner on the basepaths. Although X-rays came back negative, this is still a quick turnaround for Vogt, who won't miss any playing time. Vogt may continue to DH for the next couple of games to reduce any added stress on his wrist area.
