Goldschmidt leads baseball in on-base percentage and ranks near the top of many other categories. You have to nitpick to find something to be disappointed about with his performance, like he has just one stolen base over the past two weeks. He will compete for MVP if he keeps this up over the rest of the season.

Goldschmidt had another monster day against Milwaukee on Sunday, going 3-for-4 with a home run and four walks, three of which were intentional, in the 17-inning marathon.
A day after Goldschmidt hit two home runs, and started the scoring in this one with a home run in the first inning, the Brewers tried to limit the damage he could as the game wore on - all four of Goldschmidt's walks came after the eighth inning. This was also Goldschmidt's third straight three-hit day as he put up video game numbers against Milwaukee pitching in this series, going 9-for-15, with three home runs, three doubles, five RBI, and five runs scored.
