Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts Tuesday in a 7-1 loss to the Rangers.
Goldschmidt extended his hitting streak to eight games with his first inning single. He has been a beast in the early going with the only blemish on his batting record a small uptick in his strikeouts (up to 26% of his at-bats compared to 23% last year), which is leading to less contact. It may just be an early season small sample issue and he is compensating for it in other areas.

Goldschmidt hit his third home run of the season (a two-run shot) while going 2-for-4 Wednesday in a 3-2 loss to the Padres.
Goldschmidt's homer was an opposite field blast off starter Brandon Morrow in the first inning, but unfortunately the D-Backs wouldn't score again in this one. Goldschmidt is showing in the early going that he is fully recovered from the broken wrist that ended his season early in 2014, posting a .344/.447/.656 line through 38 plate appearances. Enjoy what is looking to be a monster season!

Goldschmidt is locked in at the plate so far, putting up a line of .333/.467/.625. This was also his second stolen base of the young season, which is a good sign that he can get back to double-digits in steals this year. He could be in for a fantasy MVP-type season.

Goldschmidt smacked his second homerun of the season, a three-run blast, to chase Clayton Kershaw on Friday in a 6-0 win.
That's consecutive games with a homer for Goldschmidt who has looked phenomenal at the plate coming off a broken hand that ended his 2014. It's early, but he looks to be back to playing at an MVP-level.

Goldschmidt hit his first homerun of the year Friday as part of a 3-for-4 performance in a 4-3 win over the Dodgers. He scored once and drove in three runs in the contest.
Goldschmidt is off to a great start, reaching base in more than half of his plate appearances to date. The homerun should answer the only lingering question about his hand injury from last year, which was whether the power would be back. He should return to being an MVP-caliber player this year.

Goldschmidt hit a double to go 1-for-3 with a run scored and a walk Wednesday in a 5-2 loss to the Giants.
Goldschmidt was ninth in the league last year with 39 doubles despite missing more than 50 games due to injury. Through his first 13 plate appearances he has reached base at a .538 clip, which is incredible and a good sign that last year's injury isn't affecting his approach at the plate. Assuming his power is back to pre-injury levels, the 27-year-old is going to be one of the top hitters in baseball and a fantasy stud.
