Goldschmidt went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in a win over the Rockies on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Goldy just continues to get it done, adding his 38th double and 107th RBI in this game. All the numbers across the board are ridiculous for the first baseman and he's making a strong case for MVP, albeit his team being below .500.

Goldschmidt is out of the lineup Sunday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
With the Diamondbacks removed from postseason contention, manager Chip Hale pledged that Goldschmidt could receive some more rest down the stretch. It appears Hale will stick to that plan for at least Sunday, as Goldschmidt picks up a rare day off while Yasmany Tomas fills in at first base.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in a 6-3 loss to the Dodgers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
After homering in three straight, he'll have to settle for a ho-hum multi-hit game off Clayton Kershaw here. The MVP season continues for Goldy as his resume keeps on building game-by-game. The unfortunate part for Goldschmidt is that his under .500 team will likely keep him out of the running. The good news is that he will likely be the consensus number one pick in fantasy next year with his ability to provide elite production in every category across the board.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Goldy has now homered in three straight starts, a far cry from his 86 at-bat homer-less streak in August. Goldschmidt's incredible contact, power, and speed totals have contributed to his untouchable fantasy value.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with his 30th home run of the season Tuesday in a win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt tops the 30 home run mark for the second time in his career. While his .286/.409/.488 line in the second half represents a swoon only compared to his first half dominance, it's worth remembering that he only played 109 games due to injury last year, so fatigue may be a factor as he closes out the season. With six more runs scored, Goldschmidt can join Jose Bautista (and eventually Bryce Harper) as the only hitters this year with more than 30 home runs, 100 runs, RBI, and walks.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-2 with two walks and a run scored in a 2-0 win over San Francisco on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The on-base percentage continues to rise for the All-Star first baseman, as he is now at .435. Over the last 11 games, Goldy has been in a bit of a mini-slump, as he's hitting just .263 with one home run and three RBI. In any case, he's still having an MVP-type season and may be in line to be the number one pick in fantasy next season.

Goldschmidt was 0-for-1, but walked three times and scored Tuesday in a win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt has seen his batting average decline over the past month, but games like these continue to allow him to be an OBP monster - his .433 OBP ranks fourth in baseball.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in a 12-4 demolition of the Dodgers on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The numbers have been steadily declining for Goldy over the past month, but he still has MVP-type numbers. It's nearly impossible to maintain a .500 OBP that he was for the first few months so a regression was almost guaranteed. Even with the recent slump, it's very possible that Goldschmidt will be the number one pick next season across all fantasy landscapes.

Goldschmidt returned to the lineup from the paternity list Friday and went 2-for-4 in a loss to the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
On a day when the D-backs were shut out by Cubs' ace Jake Arrieta, this qualifies as a good offensive performance. Despite a power outage in the second half in which he has hit just six home runs, Goldschmidt still has MVP-caliber numbers on the season. Last season's disappointing end due to injury is certainly in the rear view mirror.

Goldschmidt is back in the lineup hitting third Saturday, Jody Jackson of FOX Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
He missed two games for the birth of his child be he will return to the mix Saturday against the Cubs.
