Andriese (8-7) moved back above .500 with a victory over the Orioles on Saturday. He allowed two runs on six hits, struck out three and walked none over 5.1 innings in the win.
EDGE Analysis
Two sacrifice flies in the first three innings put Tampa Bay behind by two, but the Rays offense responded in the fourth and then sixth to take the lead for good. Since allowing seven runs in back-to-back starts, Andriese has yielded just three runs over his last 10.1 innings. He is 8-7 with a 4.41 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 98 strikeouts in 116.1 innings this season.

Andriese (7-7) held the Yankees to one run on six hits over five innings IN Sunday's win. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
After starting the season 6-0, Andriese dropped seven straight decisions including five of his last six starts before snapping the skid Sunday. He'll try to make it two in a row Saturday in Baltimore.

Andriese (6-7) was beaten up by the Orioles on Monday, allowing seven runs in five innings. He gave up nine hits, walked one, and struck out seven in the loss.
EDGE Analysis
Andriese has hit the skids in a major way of late, allowing 14 runs over his last two starts. The 27-year-old had an impressive 2.77 ERA before the All-Star break, but has been a punching bag of late, watching his ERA balloon to 4.58. He'll try to get back on track Sunday against the Yankees.

Andriese (6-6) had a night to forget on Monday, being battered for seven runs over four innings against the Red Sox. He allowed 10 hits, walked one, and struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
For Andriese it was by far his worst start of the season, capping off what's been a tough month for the 27-year-old. Andriese allowed 25 runs in 29 August innings, losing four straight decisions in the process. Andriese's rotation spot is in jeopardy with Alex Cobb scheduled to come off the DL this week.

Andriese allowed three runs on seven hits while walking one and striking out eight over six innings, but didn't factor in the decision in the Rays 4-3 extra-inning win over the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander had failed to make it out of the sixth inning in his previous four outings since rejoining the Rays' rotation after the trade deadline, posting a 6.84 ERA and 6.02 FIP over that span. Andriese appeared to return back into the pitcher we watched in May and early June when he started the season 6-0. He'll look to get another crack at the Red Sox on the road on Monday.

Andriese (6-5) gave up five earned runs on seven hits and two walks over 5.1 innings in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Rangers. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
He wasn't as bad as the final line might indicate, but gave up some untimely hits. Andriese fired 66 of his 95 pitches for strikes, while also notching 12 swinging strikes on the night. However, Mitch Moreland began his downfall in the fifth with a 387-foot solo shot to left, while Ian Desmond drove in Elvis Andrus with a two-out run-scoring single later in the inning. Adrian Beltre then led off the sixth with a 421-foot blast and two more runs went on Andriese's ledger after his exit when Nomar Mazara and Jurickson Profar posted a run-scoring single and walk, respectively, off reliever Ryan Garton. The right-hander has endured consecutive rough starts, giving up 11 earned runs on 15 hits (including six homers) over the 10.1 innings he's pitched over that span.

Andriese (6-4) struck out eight but gave up six earned runs on eight hits on five innings in Saturday's 8-4 loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
The righty's stat line was somewhat unusual, given the fact he surrendered four homers but also recorded a season high in strikeouts. Andriese fired 56 of 76 pitches for strkies, and notched 13 swinging strikes overall. However, he also gave up back-to-back homers to call-ups Tyler Austin and Aaron Judge in the second, followed by a solo shot by Starlin Castro in the fourth. Aaron Hicks then put a cap on Andriese's forgettable start with a three-run blast in the fifth that plated Judge and Jacoby Ellsbury, sending him to his fourth loss in his last four decisions. The 26-year-old will try to rebound when takes on the Rangers next Friday.

Andriese (6-3) allowed three runs on six hits and a walk over 4.2 innings while striking out five in Sunday's loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
He was stretched out a little more than he was in his last start, throwing 76 pitches Sunday, but Andriese is still being treated with kid gloves by the Rays' coaching staff after re-joining the rotation from the bullpen as he got yanked in the fifth inning without being in any particular kind of jam. Look for him to handle a more normal workload and possibly even pitch long enough to qualify for a win in his next start Saturday on the road against the Yankees.

Andriese pitched four innings, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out three Royals in first start since June 25.
EDGE Analysis
Andriese, who replaced the recently-traded Matt Moore, was limited to 58 pitches in his return to the team's rotation. In his nine starts this season, Andriese is 6-2 with a 2.72 ERA and 1.03 WHIP while notching 57 strikeouts over 76 innings. The sophomore is more than capable of doing some damage in a starter's role. He threw a complete-game shutout back on May 14 against Oakland, and notched a pair of seven-inning outings this season in which he allowed just one earned run. Andriese will be one of the hottest commodities on the wire following Tuesday's re-entry to the rotation.

Andriese will replace Matt Moore in the Rays' rotation, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moore was dealt to San Francisco prior to Monday's deadline, opening the door for Andriese to slot back into a starting role with Tampa Bay. Andriese will oppose Yordano Ventura in Game 2 of the Royals series Tuesday, but Andriese didn't throw more than 48 pitches in an appearance in July and it may be a little while until he's built up to a starter's workload. He went 5-1 with a 2.92 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 35:14 K:BB in eight starts for the Rays earlier this season.
