Andriese (hip) was moved to the 60-day DL from the 10-day DL, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andriese will be out until August or later with a stress reaction in his hip. His move to the 60-day DL clears a 40-man roster spot for newly acquired Tevor Plouffe.

Andriese was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday with a stress reaction in his hip, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was originally thought that Andriese was dealing with a similar right groin strain that sidelined him earlier in the year, but an MRI on Sunday revealed something different. The good news is that doctors didn't detect a fracture in his hip, so it appears the 27-year-old won't require any surgery. Instead, he'll need a few weeks off before he starts to build his strength back up, putting his likely return date sometime around the beginning of August. In the meantime, Jacob Faria was recalled from Triple-A to take his turn in the rotation Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Andriese (groin) will undergo an MRI on Sunday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Rays have already announced that it was a right groin strain that forced Andriese from Saturday's game after one inning -- the same injury he just missed time with -- but we won't know the full extent of the injury until the MRI results are disclosed. Even if the results are favorable, Andriese could still end up missing another start or two.

Andriese left Saturday's game with a right groin strain, Steve Carney of Sports Radio 620 WDAE reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander lasted one inning before suffering a recurrence of the same injury that he just returned from. Chih-Wei Hu replaced Andriese in Saturday's game, but Jacob Faria, who took a turn in place in Andriese earlier in the week, would be a logical candidate to slot into the rotation if this injury forces Andriese back to the disabled list.

Andriese left Saturday's start after one inning with an apparent injury, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andriese gave up one run on three hits in the first inning and something seemed to go wrong as he was warming up for the second. A reason for his early exit has not yet been provided, but Andriese did just miss time with a groin strain. If this costs him additional time, Jacob Faria could return from Triple-A Durham.

Andriese (groin) has returned from the disabled list and pitching in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andriese will be making his first start since being placed on the DL in late May. The right-hander hurled a successful bullpen on Wednesday and has accumulated a 3.45 ERA over the course of 11 starts in 2017. In a corresponding move, the team optioned Ryan Garton to Triple-A Durham.

Andriese (groin) will make his return from the DL on Saturday, pitching the second game of the Rays doubleheader, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andriese threw a successful bullpen session Wednesday, and will head back to the big leagues after a brief stint on the disabled list with a mild groin strain. Thus far in 2017, the right-hander has gone 5-1 in 11 contests, amassing a 3.45 ERA with a 1.28 WHIP, to go along with 54 strikeouts and 21 walks.

Andriese (groin) suffered no setbacks during his bullpen session Wednesday, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andriese plans to start one of the Rays games on Saturday, with the twin-bill against Oakland coming this weekend. There has been no official confirmation of his start as of yet, but he played catch Tuesday and is expected to take the place of Jacob Faria upon his arrival.

Andriese (groin) will play catch Tuesday and expects to throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
If Andriese reports no new soreness with his groin during the bullpen session, he'll likely be cleared to return from the disabled list and start one game of the Rays' doubleheader Saturday with the Athletics. Andriese is expected to assume the rotation spot of Jacob Faria, who will make a spot start in place of the injured right-hander Wednesday against the White Sox.

Andriese (groin) felt good after playing catch Saturday and is aiming to return for next Saturday's doubleheader, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander appears to be making brisk progress from his groin strain, and his stated goal therefore appears realistic absent any setbacks. Andriese's injury was termed as relatively mild from the start, so his stay on the DL will likely be limited to the minimum 10 days.
