Mark Teixeira (groin) is back in Tuesday's lineup against the Mets as the designated hitter.
Teixeira was held out of Monday's lineup due to groin tightness, but singled as a pinch-hitter. He didn't look good attempting to run the bases, but he's going to try to give it a go Tuesday.

Mark Teixeira went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI in the Yankees' 9-3 victory over the Rays on Saturday.
Teixeira says his wrist feels stronger and it shows: he has four homers in five games. The two-run homer today gave him his first multi-RBI game of the season, and he added one more for good measure when he singles in Jacoby Ellsbury in the eighth.

Mark Teixeira went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and three walks in Thursday's win over the Red Sox.
Teixeira's third-inning blast off of Felix Doubront was his first of the season. He entered the game with just one extra base hit in 28 trips to the plate, as he is still dealing with the effects of wrist surgery last season. While the home run was nice to see, he'll have to show that power on a more consistent basis before his stock will rise.
