Teixeira (toe) is in the lineup Tuesday against the Nationals, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Teixeira exited Sunday's contest after being hit by pitch on the toe, but Monday's day off seems to be all he needed to get back into the lineup. He'll get the start at first base and bat cleanup against Gio Gonzalez.

Teixeira left Sunday's game against the Royals after taking a pitch off his right big toe. X-rays after the game came back negative, Sweeny Murti of Sportsradio 66 WFAN reports.
Teixeira expressed optimism that Monday's off day might provide him sufficient recovery time before returning to the lineup for Tuesday's series opener against the Nationals. An 0-for-2 showing prior to his departure dropped Teixeira's batting average to .248 for the season, but his 11 homers and 28 RBI rank tops on the team.

Teixeira went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Rays.
Teixeira has boosted his average up to .246 thanks to six hits in his last two starts, including a 4-for-5 night with a home run Monday. At 35 years old, he hasn't appeared to lose any power as his 11 home runs and 28 RBI rank second and third in the AL this season respectively.

Teixeira is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game in Tampa Bay, Newsday's Erik Boland reports.
Teixeira started each of the past seven games, highlighted by Monday's 4-for-5 showing that included a home run, two RBI and three runs. He's being rewarded with a rare day off, allowing Garrett Jones to start at first base.

Teixeira went 1-for-4 with a homer, his 10th of the year, in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jays.
He was dealing with a lat issue Monday, but that was not serious enough to keep him out Tuesday, and it clearly did not appear to bother him as he hit his 10th homer of the season. While that is impressive power, Teixeira only has 18 total hits on the season, so most of the time when he hits a bomb it will be his only hit of the night.

Teixeira was not used Monday because he has been dealing with a minor lat issue, the New York Daily News' Mark Feinsand reports.
He's in the lineup Tuesday playing first base, so the issue is clearly not that serious, but it's something for his owners to be aware of.

Teixeira is not in the lineup Monday against the Blue Jays.
Teixeira has started nine games in a row, so it appears to just be a regular off day for the 35-year-old as Garrett Jones will get the start at first base. His batting average remains low as it's just at .202 on the year, but he's been able to keep up the power aspect of his game as his nine homers are third most in the league.

Teixeira remained in Friday's game after being hit by pitch in the wrist, going 0-for-2 but reaching base three times in the win.
Teixeira has dealt with injuries to his wrist in the past, so there was a momentary scare but it appears he avoided another injury to the area. The first baseman is hitting just .211, but leads the team with his eight home runs and 18 RBI.

Teixeira went 3-for-4 Saturday with a solo home run, his eighth blast of the season and fifth in the last six games.
The first baseman has even raised his batting average to a respectable .254, and 12 of his 15 hits on the season have gone for extra bases. As long as Teixeira keeps hitting the ball over the heads of shifted infielders he'll have plenty of fantasy value, but be aware that his current 0.61 GB/FB ratio would be a career best and is probably headed for some regression.

Teixeira had a big night at the dish on Friday night going 2-for-4 with a pair of two-run home runs in the Yankees win over the Mets.
He's hitting an uninspiring .218 but with seven long ones and 17 RBI he is making his hits count. His average is likely to be a weakness, but if he can keep the power production up he should add a lot of punch to the middle of the Yankees lineup.
