Teixeira is not in the lineup Monday against the Blue Jays. Teixeira has started nine games in a row, so it appears to just be a regular off day for the 35-year-old as Garrett Jones will get the start at first base. His batting average remains low as it's just at .202 on the year, but he's been able to keep up the power aspect of his game as his nine homers are third most in the league.
