Severino (triceps) will make his first rehab start Saturday for High-A Tampa, the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees rested Severino for about two weeks after he was diagnosed with a mild triceps strain, but he's apparently shown enough improvement with his condition to test out his arm. Given that Severino was sporting a 7.46 ERA and 1.68 WHIP over his first seven starts, the Yankees may want the 22-year-old to complete a couple of rehab outings before returning from the DL. It's not guaranteed he'll take back a spot in the rotation from Ivan Nova or CC Sabathia once he's activated.

Serverino (triceps) is expected to make a rehab start on Sunday, Yankees' clubhouse reporter Meredith Marakovits reports.
EDGE Analysis
Severino has been playing catch and throwing on flat ground after he was diagnosed with a mild triceps strain earlier in May. If all goes well in the start, the 22-year-old could be in line to return to the Yankees' lineup in the not-too-distant future.

Severino is headed to the 15-day DL after being diagnosed with a mild right triceps strain, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
For now, no structural damage has been reported for Severino after the Yankees had him undergo an MRI on Friday night. He won't pick up a baseball for the next five-to-seven days, and figures to be evaluated again prior to resuming throwing. The Yankees have not announced a replacement for him in the rotation, but it seems likely that he'll miss at least three turns in the rotation.

Severino was sent for an MRI on his right elbow after leaving his start Friday night during the third inning due to injury.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to his departure, Severino was ineffective to the tune of allowing seven runs on seven hits over 2.2 innings. He also walked four and hit a batter, throwing 46 of his 81 pitches for strikes. Once the results of the MRI are made public, a timetable for his return to the mound should become clear, but his chances of making his next scheduled start are questionable at best.

Severino exited Friday's matchup with the White Sox early with an apparent injury, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Severino was noticeably uncomfortable while on the mound. He through 81 pitches over 2.2 innings, and surrendered seven earned runs in the process. He was checked on by a trainer prior to leaving the game. Expect an update on his status when more information becomes available.

Severino struck out a season-high nine batters and walked one while allowing four runs over 6.2 innings in Sunday's loss to the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Severino's strikeout pitches were working despite his throwing just 60 percent of his pitches for strikes, but he fell victim to a trio of homers that accounted for the entirety of the damage done against him. On the positive side, he went deeper into Sunday's start than he had been in any other outing this season, and he maintains an impressive 1.7 BB/9 through 32.1 innings. If he can limit the home runs, Severino should fare better in Friday's start versus the White Sox.

Severino (0-4) took the loss against the Orioles on Tuesday, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits while walking two and striking out four over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
The outing was actually one of the young righty's better starts of the season and lowered his ERA (still sitting at an ugly 6.31 through 25.2 innings. A combination of Severino's two errors and Mark Trumbo's pair of homers was enough to keep the 22-year-old winless on the season. Hyped as a potential breakout star, Severino has looked far from that through his first five outings of 2016.

Severino was hammered by the Yankees on Monday, as he allowed six runs on seven hits and two walks over just three innings.
EDGE Analysis
Severino has struggled all year long. He has now given up at least seven hits in all four of his starts and has just one quality start thus far. He managed just one strikeout on four swinging strikes against the Rangers, and he now has just 12 in 19.2 innings (5.5 K/9). Severino had a 2.89 ERA last season in 11 starts but just a 4.37 FIP; this disaster saw his 2016 ERA jump all the way to 6.86 as he is struggling to recreate the magic he had last year.

Severino allowed two runs on seven hits Thursday in a no-decision against the Athletics. He struck out four without a walk over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
After he turned in spotty work over his first two starts, it's nice to see Severino finish out six solid frames. There are high expectations for the young righty after he posted a 2.89 ERA over 11 starts for the Yankees last year, and he may be a bit less consistent than fantasy owners would like as the league adjusts to him, but there's obviously tons of upside here.

Severino allowed four runs on eight hits, walking one and striking out a pair over 5.2 innings of a 7-1 loss to Seattle on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
Severino (0-2, 5.91 ERA) was a hot commodity in fantasy circles this spring, but he has gotten off to a disappointing start. He has a very live arm, but has struggled to consistently locate his pitches so far. Expect he and the Yankees to adjust accordingly. He remains a blue chip pitching prospect so patience is probably the order of the day. He'll take on Oakland in the Bronx next time out.
