Severino will start Monday's game against the Blue Jays, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Severino tossed two innings of relief Thursday against the Rays and hasn't started a game since Aug. 14, so don't be surprised if he's held some sort of pitch count for Monday's outing. The youngster has been sensational since converting to a relief role, but his 8.58 ERA over nine starts this season make him an untrustworthy streaming option against the powerful Blue Jays offense.

Severino tossed 2.1 scoreless innings Sunday, striking out three in the loss to the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Severino has been a changed pitcher since making the move to the bullpen after his September call up. In four outings, the 22-year-old has gone 8.1 innings with nine strikeouts, yielding just three hits and no runs. The long relief role likely won't provide much help to prospective fantasy owners, but it could be an encouraging sign that Severino has regained his confidence moving into next season, when he could have a chance again to work his way back into the rotation.

Severino walked two and struck out two over two scoreless innings to get credited with his second win of the season in Sunday's victory over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
While it's nice to see him pitching well for a change, the relief outing makes it clear that the Yankees are not considering Severino as a rotation option in place of Chad Green (elbow). Expect Severino to remain in the bullpen for the rest of the season.

Severino was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes/Barre on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The 22-year-old hasn't looked anything like the pitcher we saw last year, struggling to a 1-8 record and 7.19 ERA in 12 appearances (nine starts) between a DL stint and several stints in the minor leagues. He could end up making some starts in September, but with Luis Cessa and Chad Green faring reasonably well of late, Severino may be relegated to a multi-inning role out of the bullpen for the time being.

Severino was scratched from his scheduled start for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday but not due to injury, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Severino ended up coming on in relief, firing a pair of scoreless innings with four strikeouts, thus doing away with any lingering doubt as to his health. It seems the Yankees simply wanted to be sure Severino is well rested and available when he returns to the major leagues later this week. His September role is still TBD but Severino may work primarily out of the bullpen with the potential for a few spot starts.

Severino was demoted back to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Sunday's game against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
The youngster was given another shot at the starting rotation Sunday, but what followed was a disastrous outing that resulted in seven earned runs allowed on eight hits and a walk over just 3.2 innings, though he did add seven strikeouts. The Yankees didn't announce a corresponding move but that will likely come before Monday's series opener against Toronto.

Severino, who was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday, said he believes he will start Sunday against the Rays, Wallace Matthews of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Two days after being sent down, Severino is back on the Yankees' active roster replacing Nathan Eovaldi (elbow). Chad Green would also be an option for Sunday, but the Yankees need a starter for Monday as well and Green figures to take that turn on one additional day's rest. Severino struggled Tuesday at Boston, giving up five runs on seven hits in 4.1 innings, but he was excellent in his first appearance of August and it sounds like he will face a relatively soft landing in the Rays in his return to the rotation.

The Yankees have recalled Severino from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
EDGE Analysis
Severino gets the call as the Yankees put Nathan Eovaldi on the 15-day disabled list with a right elbow injury. Severino is expected to start Tuesday as the Yankees host the Blue Jays. On the season with New York, Severino has a 6.42 ERA with 40 strikeouts in 47.2 innings. Severino has started eight games in 11 appearances with the Yankees this season.

Severino was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday, Newsday's Erik Boland reports.
EDGE Analysis
After a dominant relief appearance against the Mets last week, Severino was thrust back into the Yankees' rotation, but the matchup at Boston proved too difficult for the 22-year-old right-hander. He gave up five runs on seven hits over 4.1 innings Tuesday, pushing his ERA on the year to 6.42, and the Yankees have evidently made the decision to turn back to Chad Green to fill a rotation spot. It's uncertain what role Severino will fill upon his eventual return this year, but there's little doubt he will compete for a starting job in spring training.

Severino (1-7) lasted just 4.1 innings against the Red Sox on Tuesday, allowing five earned runs on seven hits while striking out three and taking the loss.
EDGE Analysis
Tuesday marked Severino's return to the rotation after losing his starting spot and being demoted to Triple-A Durham following a poor start to the season. Severino pitched 4.1 scoreless innings of relief last Wednesday, but unfortunately Tuesday looked more like the seven starts that got him sent down. The outing raises Severino's ERA to a bloated 6.48, and he has a 1.48 WHIP.
