Severino will slide back into the rotation, getting the start Tuesday against the Red Sox, Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Severino came in for a lengthy relief role against the Mets on Thursday, and allowed just one unearned run on one hit during 4.1 innings of work. The 22-year-old struck out five batters and walked just one, and appears to have gotten his original spot back in the rotation that he occupied at the beginning of the season. Severino recently came back to the Yankees after spending some time with Triple-A Durham, posting a 7-1 record with a 3.11 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP over the course of 11 starts. He will face a strong Boston lineup Tuesday, and is in line to face Tampa Bay the following Sunday.
