Logan Morrison remains out of the Marlins' lineup Monday due to soreness in his surgically-repaired knee. LoMo had the knee scoped back in December. He's expected to run and perform agility drills on Monday at the Marlins' facility in Jupiter, Florida and should return to the starting lineup Tuesday against the Braves. He's on track to be fully ready for the start of the regular season.

Logan Morrison is not in Friday's lineup because he's resting his surgically-repaired right knee. The Marlins have given no indication that he's had a setback, so until informed otherwise we're just going to assume he's being given some proactive rest. Morrison, who underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in December, batted .247/.330/.468 with 23 home runs, 72 RBI and a .797 OPS over 525 plate appearances last season.

Logan Morrison (knee) said Wednesday that he's optimistic he'll be ready when spring training begins next month. Morrison underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in December and took his first swings Wednesday. "There's still swelling," said Morrison. "It still doesn't feel 100 percent, but I think if there are no setbacks I should be all right. If I have to miss a week of spring training - and I'm not planning to - that's probably the most it will be." The 24-year-old outfielder batted .247/.330/.468 with 23 home runs, 72 RBI and a .797 OPS over 525 plate appearances last season.

Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports that the Marlins consider Logan Morrison "off limits" in any potential trade. Frisaro says the Fish wouldn't even contemplate trading him in a package for James Shields. They also consider Mike Stanton "off limits," which is no surprise. We still think the Marlins would be willing to barter Morrison in the right deal, but any thought that they might be itching to deal him after his run-in with management this past season appears to folly.

Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that Logan Morrison is drawing more trade interest than any other Marlins player, but the team is "highly, highly unlikely" to move him. Many speculated that Morrison would be on the trade block after his spat with management due to his demotion to Triple-A that had him contemplating filing a grievance. But, it appears that things have smoothed over and Miami wants to hang on to him. The 24-year-old outfielder/first baseman batted .247/.330/.468 with 23 home runs this past season.

Logan Morrison underwent arthroscopic surgery Monday on his right knee. The minor procedure will keep LoMo inactive for the next couple of weeks, but he's not in danger of missing the start of spring training. The 24-year-old outfielder batted .247/.330/.468 with 23 home runs this past year.

Logan Morrison is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery Monday on his right knee. LoMo is fully expected to be back to 100 percent health by the start of spring training. The 24-year-old outfielder posted a promising .247/.330/.468 batting line and 23 home runs this past year for the Fish and will make for a decent late-round fantasy selection heading into 2012.

Jon Heyman of SI.com reports that an executive was informed by the Marlins that Logan Morrison is "off limits." The executive guessed that Morrison could be pried away for James Shields, but no one else. It's hard to believe LoMo would be totally off the table given the tension between he and Marlins management, but the team also probably realizes that trading him now would be selling low. Morrison could either stay in the outfield or move to first base in 2012, depending on the other moves the Marlins make.

Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports that the White Sox originally asked for Logan Morrison in exchange for manager Ozzie Guillen before eventually lowering their demands. Spencer also notes that the Fish were prepared to offer Bobby Valentine their managerial job before the Sox agreed to trade Guillen. They wound up settling for shortstop Osvaldo Martinez and reliever Jhan Marinez, which is a far less significant but more appropriate package considering the Marlins were trading for a manager. Of course, Morrison has had issues with Florida's management, so it wouldn't be a shock if LoMo wound up getting dealt for less than what he's worth.
