Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports that the White Sox originally asked for Logan Morrison in exchange for manager Ozzie Guillen before eventually lowering their demands. Spencer also notes that the Fish were prepared to offer Bobby Valentine their managerial job before the Sox agreed to trade Guillen. They wound up settling for shortstop Osvaldo Martinez and reliever Jhan Marinez, which is a far less significant but more appropriate package considering the Marlins were trading for a manager. Of course, Morrison has had issues with Florida's management, so it wouldn't be a shock if LoMo wound up getting dealt for less than what he's worth.
